"It's been sixteen years since you killed the Wests, Gordon, but you don't have it yet. What should I say of your incompetence?"

Gordon bowed, disappointed at himself. "Makes me wonder where West hid it, King."

"I'd never thought you would fail me."

"Truth be told, King, the result was expected, and knowing how West is, his death is one thing he never feared. It was a mistake sending Gordon after them. He killed his family, and thereby not leaving any leverage against West."

Gordon glared at Trick. "Why? You think your tricks would have worked against him?"

"My tricks are smart, Gordon. If his family was in my hands, he would have had no choice." Trick countered.

"You guys enough! You've argued about this forever. It's too late." King shunned them.

Trick and Gordon bowed.

"I don't think it is, King. It is somewhere. We just need to know the location. We could find it the way we found West." Brainold suggested.

"How, Brainold? Sixteen years ago was the last favor the Eye owed us." One of them asked.

"Well, I'm guessing that's where Trick will come in. I think he should pay a visit to Eye. She might have no choice, but to give us the location."

Trick could only smirk.

"What's gotten your panties tied up in a bunch, Kara? You're lucky your expression didn't cost you your internship." Zoey scolded, noticing her behavior.

Kara sighed remembering everything that happened earlier. She doesn't know if she should fill Zoey in on it, especially since she was having serious doubt about it.

It was impossible. So surreal. She shook her head refusing to believe it happened even though it actually did. She couldn't get it off her mind.

"There's something you guys should know, and you might doubt, Lucifer isn't the king of hell. He's under the command of a very powerful demon king."

Layla scoffed, shaking her head. "Professor Hall, and his nonsense."

Emily rolled her eyes and looked at her. "It might be true, Layla."

"Don't see what is true about it, or why we should be learning history about the greatest unknown." Zoey agreed to Layla's statement.

"Well, I agree with Emily. He could be right. There could be something about a great unknown." Kara stated, not looking at them, her gaze fixated on nothing in particular.

"Kara Rogers, and her cohorts, please no talking in my class." Professor Hall warned.

Kara blinked, and as professor Hall was moving away from the screen, and altar, he tripped on the stairs falling to the ground. "Whoa!" He exclaimed as he hit the floor.

Kara blinked again, but things were different. Professor Hall wasn't on the floor. It made her frown wondering what was going on.

"We wonder about some things, and I'm sure a lot of us have stumbled upon the unexplainable. Unexplainable that has been shrugged off even by the best of us seeing how impossible it is. But if you look...if you look closely..." He said walking away from his altar towards the little stairs. "If you look closely, you'll see... Whoa!" He lost his stance and fell to the floor causing a gasp from everyone.

Everyone except Kara.

She was left short of words.

"They should change that black linen covering the ground. It has a hole that makes professors trip." Emily stated in a humorous tone.

Zoey nodded in agreement with a smile on her face. "Yeah. I wonder how many teachers will fall before something is done."

"Why don't you go do it? No one says it's a..."

"Shut up, Layla." Zoey shushed Layla in annoyance.

Kara sighed shakily and nodded. 'What should I expect from today? Always been weird. It'll pass.' She consoled herself in her thoughts.

The day was a stressful day for Kara, she walked inside her home but found everywhere dark. She frowned knowing there was supposed to be light, and her family home.

She switched on the light... "Happy birthday, Kara!!!" Her heart skipped at the echo. Her eyes widened at everyone smiling at her. Her family, and friends.

"No wonder, it's my birthday." She muttered reflectingly with a low sigh and a frown of distaste.

"Cheer up, Kara. It's your birthday." Zoey warned, walking closer to Kara, wanting to get that broody expression off Kara's face.

"It's just how it is. Never happy on her birthday no matter how hard we try." Jonah, her brother said.

Kara just rolled her eyes, and took off her shoes and put her slippers on.

She put on a very appeasing fake smile. "Thank you so much for this, guys. I appreciate." She told them and walked further in.

Ellie placed a cone on her head and wore it for her. "Happy birthday. You shouldn't neglect your birthday." She pleaded.

Kara nodded. "Yeah, I try not to, but I just forget. Thanks to you guys, I can never forget." She said with a dull expression. "Excuse me." She stated, and walked out on Ellie, and up the stairs to her room.

"This is funny. Isn't she supposed to be happy?" Someone asked the question in everyone's mind.

Jonah sighed "Cause this day isn't just her birthday, it's also the day her real parents died." Jonah disclosed as he watched his sister's retreating back.
