Embarrass Her

James didn't want to care about Adam Spencer when Rose kept pushing him away and he accused James of wanting to do something bad to Adam. However, the system's voice saying that Adam's mortality rate was 98% made him make a quick decision.

James placed his hand on Adam's chest, and his right hand flowed natural heat, which only Adam could feel. James' strength was considerable, making Adam Spencer's body tremble.  James could feel the energy flowing from his hand into Adam's body, trying to repair what was broken inside.

Rose, who saw this, rounded her eyes. Not long after, Adam's body became still.

"You've killed him!" cried Rose.

James withdrew his hand slowly from Adam Spencer's chest. The system connected to his power began to count down the process of Adam's consciousness recovery, the count starting from 10. Everyone in the room held their breath, waiting for the results.

Meanwhile, Rose ran out of the room, looking for Adam's driver. She screamed, saying that Adam had been killed by an unknown man who came to the Giant Real Estate office. Adam's driver, whose name was Edward, heard Rose's cry and immediately ran inside to see what was happening.

However, when Edward walked into the room, he found something he didn't expect. Adam Spencer, who should have been lifeless, was now standing upright. His face looked fresh, as if nothing had happened.

"Mr. Spencer?" Edward stammered, his eyes wide with shock. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. "Are you okay?"

Adam turned to Edward and smiled. "I'm fine, Edward," he replied. "In fact, I've never felt this healthy."

Rose ran back into the room, her breathing ragged. She was surprised to see Adam standing upright, looking fresh and healthy. She pointed at James and began to speak rapidly, recounting how Adam had suddenly collapsed and how James had committed malpractice that almost cost Adam his life.

James just smiled, unperturbed by Rose's accusations. He knew what he was doing and he knew that he had done nothing wrong. He looked at Adam, who looked healthier and more energized than ever.

Adam, the 50-year-old man, approached James and asked, "Young man, what is your name?"

James was happy to introduce himself. "I'm James O'Connell," James replied, smiling broadly.

Unexpectedly, Adam immediately grabbed James' hand and thanked him. He looked very grateful and admired James. "Young man, you are a hero."

Rose and Edward could only stare open-mouthed, shocked at how quickly things had changed.

"Mr. Spencer, what are you doing?" asked Rose. "It must be a coincidence, there's no way he could have helped you."

Adam turned to Rose. "I don't want to hear you talk any more!"

Rose was of course frightened by the threat, so she kept quiet.

Edward confirmed once again. "Mr. Spencer, are you really okay?"

Adam assured Edward. "I'm already fine."

"You don't want to go to the hospital to confirm your condition?" Edward asked again.

Adam refused. "I'm fine. You can come back, Ed."

Edward nodded. " Alright then, Sir." He chose to go outside, letting Adam finish his business.

James still stood there, thinking for a moment. Although he knew that it was possible to lose god points, he couldn't stay here any longer. He needed to find another real estate that was willing to sell him an apartment.

As he walked towards the door, Adam called out to him. "Mr. Connell, where are you going?"

"I can't stay long, Mr. Spencer," James replied, turning to face Adam. "I need to find a place to stay."

"Find a place to live?" repeated Adam, looking confused. "Well then, why don't you take a look at one of the units at Giant Real Estate? It's one of the best places to find a place to live. Why don't you look here?"

James turned to Rose, who still looked pale and shocked. She realized that she had been rude to James.

"I have to go because it seems that my presence is not welcome here." James deliberately glanced at Rose. She looked even paler. "I've tried several times since earlier to view one of the apartments at Giant Real Estate, but the staff here don't seem to want to accept me as a buyer."

Adam Spencer, the owner of the real estate agency, rounded his eyes. He pointed at Rose and asked, "Did you refuse Mr. Connell's visit?"

Rose stammered, trying to find an excuse. "Mr. Spencer, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to refuse him. It's just... it's just that I think Mr. Connel looks seedy and doesn't have the money to buy one of these apartment units."

James nodded, acknowledging Rose's assessment. "That's right, Mr. Spencer. I may look seedy, but I've been trying to tell her that I want to buy a unit here. But, she keeps rejecting me. What's going on?"

Not waiting for Rose's response, Adam firmly slapped her on the cheek. Rose covered her cheeks, shocked and embarrassed. "How dare you do that to one of our prospective buyers!"

She bowed, apologizing to James and Adam. "I'm sorry, Mr. Connell. I... I made a mistake," Rose said, her voice trembling. "I will prepare the unit for you to see immediately."

Adam nodded, satisfied with Rose's apology. He turned to James and said, "I hope you can forgive our mistake, Mr. Connell. We'll make sure you get the best service here."

James raised one eyebrow. "So, am I going to get one of the units here?"

Adam welcomed James with open arms. "You saved my life, how could I not help you?"

James smiled slightly. "So, can we complete this transaction?"

Adam was happy to oblige. "For the sake of my savior, I will take care of everything for you and even give it to you for free!"

James refused. "I'll pay, just serve me well."

"Yes, Mr. Connel!" Adam took care of it directly. In particular, he took James to his office to choose a suitable unit.

Rose watched them both. Adam's slap marks were still on her cheeks. "Huh, who the hell is that guy? Is he rich enough to have the power to heal people?"
