Chapter Forty-Six

Lady Margarita raised an eyebrow at Dean's assertion, not appreciating his sense of entitlement, especially considering his lack of tangible contribution to the family business. All he had done was supervise car deliveries to the company.

But it appeared that what Ralph had said to him earlier had created a new consciousness in him.

"Being the first grandchild doesn't automatically qualify you for the position, Dean," Lady Margarita countered. "We need someone with proven leadership skills and a strong business acumen."

Bony nodded in agreement. "I believe Diana would be a better fit. She's Mr. R.R.’s favorite and could recover our lost partnership. Besides, her rapidly growing popularity will help the business grow quickly.”

They all turned to look at Bony, the least expected to have made that statement. Wendell couldn't hide her displeasure at her husband recommending Diana instead of Lionel or Liam.
