7. Arrested

Chapter Seven

What should I do on my first day as a billionaire heir ?” Thought Xander while staring at the huge gates of Princeton University.

There were several thoughts that ran through his mind. He has never imagined that he will be a billionaire heir overnight and it still sounds unbelievable to him but then right there in his hands was the ultimate black card that can get him whatever he wants in this whole wide world, as long as money can buy it.

“Should I buy a sports car of my own , a game play station? Or should I buy a new set of school uniforms and shoes ? Maybe buy the diamond Rolex wristwatch of my dreams or should I donate the money to charity and the less privileged?” Xander kept whispering to himself as he walked down the aisle of the university's long corridor which had pictures of notable alumni and the best student of the past year.

Xander turned to look at the spot that his picture was supposed to be but instead , Ashthon’s portrait was already on the wall and he was tagged the best student of the year.

“What are you doing here? You’re supposed to be long dead and your body will make an awful dinner for the fishes of the river” Ashton said without feeling guilty or remorseful of his actions that could have killed Xander , Ashton’s face is still swollen from the bruises Xander gave him by beating him up at his own party.

“I don’t have time for your pettiness, '' said Xander, turning to walk away but Ashton and his group of foolish friends blocked him.

“Where do you think you’re going to ?” Asked Ashton , his action is already gathering the attention of a few students.

“Get out of my way” Xander said in an authoritative and intimidating tone while flexing his knuckles. Xander wasn’t scared of punching the hell out of Ashthon anymore because he now knows his true identity and he won’t be expelled regardless of his actions. That’s how the world works, you’re above the law when you have money.

Ashton noticed the angry look on Xanders face and he knew that he will end up fighting with Xander again if he keeps bullying him and he knows that Xander is stronger than him so he made a silly excuse to run away.

“Xander,I don’t have the time to argue with poor people besides , I am too busy making arrangements for a romantic and luxurious date for Karen and I” said Ashton but Xander ignored him and didn’t say a word which only made Ashton more angry so he took the banana milk shake one of his minion friend was drinking and poured it to the beat floor.

“Xander, you missed a spot.Make sure you clean it up with your tongue preferably “said Ashton with an annoying cocky voice then he and his friends stepped on the spilled milkshake on their way out of the building making a whole mess around the schools entrance corridor.

The students that were witnessing the little exchange burst out laughing and some even threw papers at him which made the whole place look messy and dirty. Xander was so angry that he wanted to shout at them and reveal his identity but then it would make him look like a fool to stoop to their low character.

Xander promised himself that he won’t behave like these rich spoiled brats when he makes his money or become rich because he has tasted excessively for more than 10 years and it’s just poor wickedness to be mean to people who are already suffering in life.

Xander quickly went to the janitor's room and picked up a broom and vacuum cleaner to clean up the mess because it doesn’t look pleasing to the eyes and that’s part of his job as far as Princeton University is concerned.

“I have the perfect idea on what to do with my money on my first day as a billionaire heir “Xander whispered to himself excitedly as he cleaned off the floor quickly and went to look for Zion and Erik , the only people he considers as friends in the entire university which had thousands of students.

“Zion and Erik , I have good news “ said Xander when he met them playing video games at Zions apartment.

“Where have you been Xander? I have been looking for you ?” Said Zion as he paused his game

“Maybe he was so ashamed of what Ashton did to him when he caught him stealing food at his party like some homeless pig…I will hide and never show my face if I was in his shoes too” said Erik, still playing his game as if Xander wasn’t worth his time.

What he said hurt Xander but he masked the pain as usual and didn’t argue even though that’s not what happened at the party and he was a victim.

“I came to invite you both to a special lunch , you both are the only ones who talk to me and tolerate me since I came to this university and I want to treat you both to a lunch as a way of showing my appreciation” Xander said to the two young men who look reluctant to accept his invitation because they both still think he is very poor.

“Are you sure about this Xander, what about the money …you don’t have to stress yourself “ said Zion but Erik was already on his feet

“I am hungry and if you want to use your last cent to buy us food then that’s your problem not mine” said Erik

“It’s alright , don’t worry about the money” said Xander while touching his pocket to make sure that the black card was still there and intact.

“Okay, if you insist and it’s wrong to turn down a favour “ said Zion. The three young men switched off the video game and headed out to the streets as Xander led the way.

“Where are we going ? Because I don’t eat in classless restaurant and eateries “ said Erika and Zion playful hit his head

“Can you learn to be considerate and filter the words that come out of your mouth?” Said Zion to Erik which made Xander admire and respect Zion the more.

“Don’t worry guys, we are going to the Royal Castle Restaurant “ said Xander which made the two young men stop and look at Xander as if has lost his senses

“That’s is the most expensive 5 star eatery around here and it’s headed by the retired royal chef who once served a King and the entire royal family …we can’t afford that , it’s only a few selected rich people that can afford a meal and we are three in number . Please let’s go somewhere else Xander “ said Zion trying to convince them to change their plans

“Like I said , I eat in classy places and it’s Xanders treat. If he can’t pay it then he is the one that will get arrested at the end of the day not us so it’s no big deal” said Erik now walking in front toward the Royal Castle Restaurant.

“Trust me Zion, it’s going to be fine. I am hungry and my stomach is already rumbling “ Xander said and we both laughed when my stomach Made the roaring sound again.

The waiter at the entrance of the Royal Castle Restaurant gave the three young men a disapproving look, he even squinted his nose when he saw Xanders old and faded cheap sneakers.

“How may I help you ?” Asked the waiter with an air of pride

“We came to eat, can you please get us a table ?” Said Xander.

“I hope you are not in the wrong place ?” Said the waiter sounding really rude

“Is this how you treat your customers? Get us a table or I speak to the manager about your unprofessionalism at work “ said Zion

“This way, please don’t disturb anyone or make any noise. We have a lovely couple having a romantic time” said the waiter as he led them to the far end of the restaurant which had no beautiful view ,it was as if the waiter was trying to hide them.

“Check through the menu and I will come back to take your order” said the waiter before disappearing.

Xander looked around the beautiful restaurant which had a classic taste and architectural design. Everything screams luxury and wealth. The materials of the chair, table , utensils ,the floor and even the lightning was on point.No wonder it’s a 5 star restaurant, the decoration is enough to earn it a 5 star and Xander couldn’t wait to taste the food.

“The cheapest food on this menus cost 7,000 dollars “ whispered Zion

“This is the Royal Castle , what do you expect ?!” Said Erik as he signaled for the waiter and ordered his dish.

“Dude, that cost about 15,000 dollars. Be reasonable and order for something else '' said Zion frowning but Erik ignored him and made his order. Zion and Xander ordered their meal which is less expensive than Erik’s meal but at least it is what they really want to eat.

“Bon appetit “ said the waiter after dishing out their meal and bringing them a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket on Xanders request.

The three young men ate their delicious meal till their stomach was filled up and then drank the champagne to wash it down.

“This meal taste so nice, so divine and it’s no doubt that it’s a royal dish “ said Erik, it was the first time he said something nice to Xander

“Thank you for bringing us out here but what’s the occasion? Did you win a lottery or picked up a million dollars from the trash can?” Asked Zion in a teasing tone but before Xander could answer him, the waiter brought the bill and receipt , it was 33,000 dollars in total.

“Holy shit, how are we going to pay for this ?” Said Zion

“That’s Xander’s problem “ said Erik and the waiter kept looking at them with a bad eye.

“I am afraid that you will get arrested this instant if you can’t pay it and you won’t be bailed out till the money is paid!” Shouted the waiter which brought people's attention to their table.

“Stop shouting please , it’s embarrassing “ said Erik trying to hide his face but before Xander could calm the waiter and give him his black card, they heard a group of people laughing from a table behind them.

Xander turned and saw Ashton’s and Karen having a meal and it looked like a romantic date because there was a candle and rose flowers on the table. Suzy and Bianca were also there and they were busy taking Ashton and Karen some pictures like some maids. Xander couldn’t help it but wonder what he saw in Karen in the first place, she is beautiful quite alright but her character and personality is just so mean.

“Imagine that trash boy having the audacity to eat where the royals dine ?” Said Ashthon loudly and Karen laughed sarcastically and her friends followed suit.

“Please make sure you arrest him because I can assure you that he is a poor church rat” said Ashton to the waiter as he paid for his meal with Karen. Bianca and Suzy gave the three young men a dirty look before going out of the restaurant while recording the embarrassing moment,those girls don’t have the decency in them to give people privacy. They always post everything on social media .

By now, the waiter has already called two huge security men. It was like he was in a hurry to disgrace and embarrass Xander and his friends.

“I am out of here, nobody should drag me into this mess! Leave me out of this !” Shouted Erik as he stood up and left the restaurant

“Young man pay up or you get arrested” said the waiter

“Calm down and let us settle this in a civil manner “ said Zion trying to calm the situation. Zion is majoring in Law and Humanities , he is always eager to resolve cases peacefully.

“Why will you poor people come here to eat when you can’t afford it? Always know your class and today you will be taught a bitter lesson” said the waiter as he signaled for the security men to handcuff Zion and Xander without waiting for their explanation.
