MY BOYFRIEND IS THE MILLIONAIRE HEIR

NO, I am not accepting this stupid offer of yours. NEVER!!!!¡

Reuben said

Everyone froze in shock.

The woman was shocked to her wits.

She looked puzzled.

Everyone in the room had a ‘ what is wrong with you' face on.

“ I'm not accepting this offer of yours,” Reuben repeated.

Louisa opened her mouth in shock.

‘ What is wrong with him? How could he reject such an offer? Does he know the impact of what he just said? Something is certainly wrong with him’ she thought to herself.

So did many others present thoughts about Reuben.

They all thought something was wrong with him.

He was on the verge of being expelled from the city and has been given this handsome offer yet he rejected it.

Grandma on the other hand had a smile playing around the corners of her lips.

Although she was shocked by Reuben's rejection of the offer, she was happy Reuben had rejected the offer.

“ At least his stupidity has been proved. And he is going to miserable in life forever” she thought

The lady who made the offer to Reuben had been hurt.

Her pride had been broken by Reuben's rejection. No man had ever rejected her offer before. How much more this miserable man who was on the verge of losing everything.

She got angry at Reuben.

But she forced a smile to avoid looking like a loser in front of Reuben and all the guests.

“ Well since this man has rejected my handsome offer, I side with Mrs Anderson. No company under my supervision would ever employ you in this city no matter the situation” the woman declared in an angry tone

Grandma gave out a heavy smile

She knew she had won.

Now she has been able to corner Reuben.

Reuben on hearing the lady's outburst let out a hysterical laugh.

Everyone was surprised.

"What is funny here?" they thought.

Reuben stopped laughing and creased a brow.

“ How can you speak for all your companies not to employ me when you are only a vice CEO? ” Reuben questioned the lady.

The lady looked puzzled

“ How did he know I'm the vice CEO? ’ she asked herself. But then she realized Mrs Anderson might have spoke about her in the family

“ Well I can say that confidently because my boyfriend is the sole heir and the CEO of the most powerful family in the city and beyond, The Brooks family.

The family heir is my boyfriend. ”

Reuben was shocked. He almost laughed out loud. The supposed family this lady was bragging about was his own family. The Brooks family.

And the sole heir she was talking about was referring to him. He was the only heir of the Brooks family.

He wondered how he had come to have a girlfriend of this sort.

Well she was beautiful and a very good looking woman whom every man would die for. But her character was off the hook. She was as bad as Louisa and Grandma combined.

Reuben observed.

He stood still watching as the woman continued speaking

Everybody in the room had their attention on her.

“ My boyfriend is the richest guy in the city. You know how he proposed to me huh??

No you know not.

He took me in his yacht to a very beautiful island off the shores of the country.

A beautiful island I say. Surprised me with a beautiful diamond ring. The best of its kind, crafted by the best craftsman in the whole of America, specially for me.

Now he went on his knees and proposed to me ” the lady continued bragging

Reuben tried his best to maintain his facial expressions while the lady bragged.

He wondered how the lady had been able to fabricate such a silly story in a fancy world she had built by herself, maybe in her dreams.

All the other guests listened on with interest.

They never thought it was a fabricated Story.

After all she had her diamond ring on her ring finger and she had been flaunting it at them as she spoke.

Who else would not believe?

“ Well I told you all this for only your ears though. Not for your mouths. I do not want anybody speaking about it anywhere. My boyfriend likes to live a low-key life.

He does not want any other people talking about him and his wealth right. ” the lady cautioned

Reuben wore a surprised look. She stared at the lady in disbelief.

How she had been able to create fancy stories about her time with a man she did not know, and bragging about it to these naive and innocent guests

All the women in the room grew some jealousy of the lady.

Some wished they were the lucky ones.

Others wished they had the type of man that this lady had.

One of these people was Louisa's cousin. She listened with keen interest as the lady narrated her ‘ fairy tale' to them.

How she wishes it was her!

The men on the other hand were sighing at intervals. They knew they had missed that opportunity they learnt the lady was engaged

The manager was of the men who were interested in the lady

From the moment the lady mentioned having a boyfriend, he had been sighing helplessly and quietly.

He was waiting for the ceremony to end so he could shoot his shot at the woman.

He wanted to use the gathering as an opportunity to hook up with this lady but now he had missed his chance.

There was no way he could do so now that he learnt she had a boyfriend. A multimillionaire and a heir at that

His phone began ringing.

Everybody turned their attention to him. He smiled sheepishly and took out the phone from his suit
