211. The Accusation

"What kind of a mother are you?" Lucas accused Ivy's mother as he barged into their living room. "Do you even have human sympathy in you?!"

"What have I done wrong this time?"

"Just who the hell do you think you are to speak to my wife in such a way?" Milo spoke up in his wife's defence. If one heard him now, they'd think that was how much he loved his wife, but Lucas knew that just like the rest of them, he was just looking for an opportunity to insult him.

"No, let him. Go on."

"Do you know that your daughter has been missing for the past two days?"

"She's not a child anymore, she'll resurface when she is good and ready." She replied nonchalantly.

"What?!" Lucas knew his mother in -law was thick- skinned, he just didn't expect her to show no sympathy even for her own daughter.

"What did you say?" Milo asked slowly and the look on his face told Lucas that he wasn't aware of Ivy's disappearance.

"Don't listen to him, Ivy isn't missing." Blanche lied and she started to walk away.
