The day rolled by fast and Marcus and Marcos stayed in the office, one as the CEO and the other as the aspiring CEO who was willing to take over the business his brother had run for a few years and to throw his brother away into the streets with no penny.

As much as Marcus was unhappy with Camelia not showing up, he was moved on with his day. He assumed that she probably needed a day off and did not care what was happening with her. Marco kept on stressing on how loose he was with her and how that has affected their work relationship.

Marcus denied that and Marco said; “so, tell me why she would not show up at work and not even call you to let you know? Isn't that disrespectful?”

Marcus was quiet. Whatever the case was, he did not want to discuss her further.

“We may just have to focus on their job for now. I will go to see her later in the day.”

Marco was taken aback by that statement.

“Did you just say that you will go to her house to check up on her or I did not hear you correctly

Marcus and Marco were having a great time at the club where Marco took him to.It was a strippers club and he took his brother to the Vip section and paid for the number of hours they would be there. The strippers bounced their robust buttocks in front of Marco and Marcus, enticing them with their sexiness.Marcus seemed a bit laid back with them and was not hasty with touching them but Marco got into the game, rubbing their bodies and spraying money on them.He was a lady's man and he knew just how to make women feel wanted.“Have fun bro, this is how millionaires spend their money on busy week days.”Marcus laughed but shook his head, refusing to engage with the strippers.“I'd rather just be a spectator, watching from afar than do what you are doing. I cannot even imagine myself spraying my hard earned money on these ladies.”Marco frowned at him.“Okay then, so just watch me and then have the greatest time of our lives. Be our spectator.”Marco smiled at him with sarcasm and Marcu

Daybreak was many things for many people. For some, it was waking up in a small inn with no food and little cash, holding a Card that they could not use partly because they had no access to the card but mainly because they could not breach trust.Dawn for others meant waking up in a dank cell room with three men that they had never seen in their lives except for yesterday. They had meals served to them the day before but they blatantly refused to eat because they felt terribly sullen and pissed to eat a meal. They were left wondering why they were being held hostage by this particular group and what the group really wanted from them.Dawn for some others was walking into their office and being met with the presence of a strikingly beautiful lady whose eyes were fascinating and alluring. She had a glow in her face and her lips were curved in the most beautiful way.Her curves were intriguing and she had the most amazing sense of fashion.Dawn for some others was daunting, travelling th

Her name is Mara and she is such a beauty, but remember, you cannot make the same mistake you made with Camelia, he thought to himself. Her eyes were alluring and he could not forget how they lit up when he asked her to tell him a little about herself.Just as Marco had promised, she was brilliant and outgoing and seemed to be more intentional than Camelia, at least than the Camelia of the last two weeks (according to the reports from his brother and the board). He sat in his chair, lifting his phone every now and then, hoping that Camelia would call to tell him why she had not shown up at work yet.No matter how much he tried to overlook it or act as though he was not bothered by her disappearance, he still felt that slight emptiness in his heart and he wished that she would just appear at the doorway. The doorway did open and he looked up with speed, hoping to see Camelia but Marco walked

The days that followed were for Marcus a curse. He could not wait to get over the hurtful things that he had heard Camelia say to him. Also, he had gotten busy with his new secretary, Mara and he was loving her presence. It seemed to soothe the pain and the betrayal that he felt. He thought about Camelia every now and then but not as intensely as he would have if Mara was not in the picture. He and Mara had gotten so comfortable with each other and even touched a few times.Meanwhile, his pain was about to resurrect when one evening, his brother returned from his field investigations and came to him at the dining room with an envelope.“What's up?” He had asked and Marcus simply nodded.“I have got a bit aif a bad news for you again and it has to do with Camelia.”Marcus squeezed his face.“I really do not think that I want to hear anything about her anymore, to be honest man. Whenever she tried to bring it up, her daughter would shun her and make her feel that all was well that she was being unnecessarily pushy.“Marcus is a man that buys and has a multi billion dollar company to run, mother. You cannot possibly expect him to spend every second of his life lying around my house.”“But he also had that business to run when he was always at the hospital to see me,” she nagged.“Urgh… mother. Mara gazed through the window as the car drove her and Marcus through the streets of the elite streets of Los Altos hills. They were headed for the charity event that Camelia had organised on behalf of the Blackwood conglomerate and now, Mara was to bear the compliments that were meant for Camelia. “I'd like to specifically thank you for taking the necessary steps towards bringing this social event to a point of success. I mean, when Marco told me you were good with what you do, I thought he was being too confident and that I would soon be disappointed but I was wrong.” He flashed his smile and she smiled back. “Thank you Boss,” she chuckled and Marcus nodded lightly. Mara seemed to be filled with excitement that she was to be seen in social functions with Marcus and not the dysfunctional twin. Once they arrived at the event, the camera lights from the news media were rolling right at them as they stepped out of the car. Mara was leading ahead of him but Marcus tapped her wrist

As the sun began to rise over the city, casting a golden glow on the streets, Clara and her team stood outside the docks, their breaths still heavy from the fight. With Magnus apprehended and his henchmen scattered, the sense of victory was palpable.“Is it really over?” Mara asked, her eyes reflecting the morning light.“Feels like it,” Clara replied, a cautious smile creeping onto her face. “We’ve fought too hard for this to slip away now.”Marcus stepped forward, pulling out his phone to call the authorities. “They’ll want to take Magnus into custody. This time, he won’t be able to wriggle his way out of it.”As the police sirens wailed in the distance, a mixture of relief and anticipation washed over the group. Clara could hardly believe how far they had come since they had first banded together to confront the darkness in their city.In the following days, word spread about Magnus's defeat and the disbandment of his criminal network. The community began to breathe a sigh of relie

He won’t be back anytime soon.”Marcus looked up, a thoughtful expression on his face. “We need to regroup and figure out what’s next. Magnus may be in custody, but we know he has allies. We can’t let our guard down.”Mara nodded in agreement. “And we need to find out what else he was planning. There’s got to be more to it than just controlling the city through fear.”“Right,” Clara said, her mind racing with the possibilities. “Let’s start by gathering any information we can. We need to dig deeper into his operations.”As the day unfolded, they began strategizing. Clara took charge, flipping through notes and files they had collected over time. “We need to hit his connections hard. If we can disrupt the

They needed to find Magnus and stop him before he could mobilize his men.“Where do you think he is?” Mara whispered, glancing around at the shadows that lo

Yet, beneath that fear was a resolute determination to confront Magnus and end this once and for all.“Okay, remember the plan,” Marcus whispered, his voice steady despite the tension. “Mara and Eli, you’ll set off the fireworks on the east side while Clara and I create a distraction on the north entrance.”“Got it,” Mara replied, glancing at Eli, who nodded in agreement. As they moved into position, Clara could feel the weight of the moment bearing down on her. “I still can’t believe Magnus is out there,” Clara said, pacing the small room, her brow furrowed with concern. “He’s not the type to back down easily.”Marcus leaned against the wall, arms crossed, his jaw set in determination. “He’ll come back. We need to prepare for whatever he’s planning. We can’t underestimate him again.”Mara, sitting on a makeshift bench, rubbed her temples, still feeling the tension from the fight. “What if he tries to retaliate against us personally? He knows who we are now.”Eli, leaning against the table, chimed in. “We need to gather intel on his operations. If we know where he’s hiding or what he’s planning, we can strike first.”“Good idea,” Marcus replied, his mind racing with possibilities. “But how do we find him? He has a network, and we’re just a small team.”Just then, Clara’s phone buzzed, breaking the tension in the air. You have no idea what you’re dealing with!”“Maybe not, but I know what I’m going to do next,” Marcus said, his voice low and threatening. The days that followed the ambush were a blur of activity for Marcus, Mara, Clara, and Eli. Each moment was filled with tension, anticipation, and the weight of what lay ahead. They meticulously planned their counterattack against Magnus and his henchmen, determined to turn the tables and regain control of their lives. The small, dimly lit warehouse they had chosen as their temporary headquarters buzzed with energy as they gathered around a large table cluttered with maps, photos, and notes. Marcus pointed at a large map of the city spread out before them.“Alright, here’s the plan,” he began, his voice steady and authoritative. “We know that Magnus operates out of several locations, but we believe he’s using this old warehouse on the outskirts of town as his base of operations.”Clara leaned closer, her finger tracing a route on the map. “If we can get the jump on them here, we can cut off any escape routes they might have. It’s a perfect setup for an ambush.”“Exactly,” Marcus agree
