Chapter Thirty

Levi had one bite of the food and he let out a moan.

"My God. This is simply amazing," he said heartily.

"Thank you. You are the first person outside this house that is tasting my food."

"My goodness! More people should be testing it. It's simply amazing. If those neighbours of yours had a taste of this, I bet they would have ever reason to respect you."

Levi immediately recognised that he had struck a nerve because Brittany's face went from shinning like the sun to being glommy and dark.

"You really shouldn't let this bother you that much you know. Their opinion of you doesn't matter."

"It does a lot. I just need some peace of mind."

"Okay, you know what? You need a cold drink. Stand up, let's go to a bar!" Levi said with anticipation.

"What?! I don't need to go to any bar!"

"Yes you do. Now get up!" Levi sounded too convincing.

"It has been a while since I last went out though."

"See! You need this. Now up you go!" Levi said, dragging Brittany along with him. They couldn't se
