Chapter 103

The man took a deep breath, then leaned back casually on the table, a faint but proud smile painted on his face. "My name is Vincent," he said in a confident tone that almost sounded dismissive, "Perhaps you've heard of me. I'm one of Marisa's longtime acquaintances-indeed, arguably, one of the ones who means the most to her."

He swept his gaze around the room in a manner that suggested he felt above it all. "We have many stories, far more than you can imagine," he continued as if every word that came out of his mouth was something essential and precious.

Vincent's gaze then refocused on Morel, his eyes shining with a hint of arrogance. "Actually, I'm surprised he hasn't mentioned my name to you yet," he said in a condescending tone. "But, yeah, maybe he's just too busy with other things... or other people."
