                          Meeting the Slates

He's refreshing, I like him already, zero thought inwardly.

Just then, Miller's voice floated over. “Kim, I know you are angry at everyone, right now, but you should not let your anger disrupt this ceremony, right now, the entire scene is a mess because of you, there are several Media outlets outside, things will get ugly for the school if you cause such a ruckus.

 To top it all off, Kim you were mistaken you try to rape Aria in front of thousands of students if not for a quick wit, her reputation would have been tarnished.” Miller remarks somewhat sorrowfully as he squeezes some tear drops out of his eyes, which he cleaned almost immediately with the help of Mira's handkerchief.

Kim was utterly dumbfounded, “wow! I realized that I underestimated Miller, Miller is such a good actor, I almost fell for his scam, zero. Kim told Zero, shocked.

[you almost fell? I completely fell for it, I was just about to ask how come you have such a heavy taste in women] Zero asked sarcastically.

“You bastard! How dare you try to have any designs about my daughter Aria”

“You are not worthy of her, your parents didn't train you right, in fact, you weren't even raised by parents”

“Look at Miller, he has such good home training, a refined and elegant young man, everything a man should be but you, you are a disgrace, if your parents were half as educated or refined as Miller's parents, you would have been trained better.”

“You uncouth and roguish brute, you are probably the mistake of some slut” vicious words sprang out one after the other from Aria's mother.

With each sentence she uttered, the faces of Miller, Vera, and Jones got a shade darker.it would have been fine to bring up only Kim but bringing up Kim's parents was too shaming.

 "Oh, you are right, my parents are really not responsible, in fact, to be honest, l was even raised by…"

“Kim is an orphan, he has no parents, rumors are also flying around that he was partly responsible for his adopted mother's death, l feel pity for Kim, that's why l tried correcting him but who knew he was so ungrateful” Miller said as he quickly shifted the topic to Eunice.

The sensible attitude of Miller pleased Vera quite a lot as she quickly nodded in approval, but Jones felt unconcerned,to him, Kim was not existing.

“I am baffled, all i said was one sentence i am the director, it quite appealing as to how my background is called to question. You people do really think that the world those revolve around you, don't you”

“You don't honestly have to make it so obvious that you're sitting at the bottom of the well like a drenched frog, it's embarrassing" 

“I repeat,i am the director of Veron high school with an enormous share of 60%, if your ears are clogged, your eyes should at least be functional or else you be just a blind frog” Kim said coldly as he tossed the transfer of shares agreement to the announcer.

“What's this?”the announcer scoffed as he eyed the paper bag with disdain.

“You won't give up until you see your coffin, is that well, l will open this document and expose your true face in front of the media” 

“Go ahead, make sure to expose who i truly am in front of everyone here, don't get tongue-tied then”Kim said nonchalantly

“Humph” the announcer snorted as he opened the file, as he read the beginning, his face paled in shock, his expression only got darker the more he read.

“This….this.....how is this possible. You…you… you….yo…are, who are you”the announcer stammered in shock.

“Please, have mercy, mr.Kim,you are magnanimous, please don't look at this lowly person, take all my words earlier as a dog barking, l was just joking”the announcer said as he hugged Kim's needs.

Noticing the unusual behavior of the announcer, Miller grabbed the paper from him, as he read, his face changed perfectly, displaying a myriad of emotions, shocks,rage,envy and finally realization.

“Kim, why are you doing this! I know you have always been jealous of me, and you have been striving to get to my level, but is this really necessary, how could you think of fabricating the transfer of shares agreement “Miller said venomously?

“Are you sure, Miller, you are sure he fabricated the shares, l knew it, he is a broke kid, how can he get so much money to even eat in the canteen,he might have even stolen the money from someone”

“I am going to report you to the legal authorities, “the announcer said venomously as he led brazen accusations against Kim. He was embarrassed that he knelt down to beg Kim.

“Oh, think whatever you want then, just don't regret it later on”kim said offhandedly, he didn't hold much hope for the announcer by the way.

“A leopard can't change his spots, no matter how hard he tries”

“You little bastard, you are an embarrassment to this school, l truly wonder what scum like you are doing in such a prestigious school such as this" 

“Get out! Get out!you little bastard, you are an embarrassment to Veron high school”the parents all chorused angrily.

The noise even alerted the journalists and various media outlets who were outside the auditorium for some scoop. They all hurriedly crowded at the entrance of the auditorium.

“I hereby announce that this boy Kim or whatever will not be granted admission to any of the private colleges, " A rich parent said.

“I also agree with that, my private loan colleges will not accept this kid if he wants to get a student loan” another parent echoed.

“Me too, l agree with that" 

“Me too”

“Count me in as well”

The rich parents with bursting enterprises all chorused one after the other.

“You are simply a disgrace, security, drag this peasant out of here” Vera said from the side.

“Kim, l I am celebrating my birthday next weekend, do well to stop by, l may be lenient enough to give you a catering job”Mira said which elicited laughter from the rest of the students.

“Really, do well to invite me, l will surely come.”Kim didn't back down either, he hadn't even settled the score with Mira ,and here she was inviting herself to be humiliated.

“What are you guys waiting for, drag him out of here”

“I would like to see who dares to do that” a calm but powerful voice echoed.

Turning his eyes to the door, Kim sees a shockingly beautiful lady with a handsome man.

“The Slates, finally they're here”Kim mumbled.
