Chapter 24 - Confession

Silence.

There was nothing but silence as the man looked down at his feet, ignoring Milan's question.

Milan tilted his head to the side as he observed the man

"Are you deaf?"

Milan asked in a clipped tone.

"I asked who the hell you are?"

The man's eyes moved from left to right as he avoided eye contact with Milan and sealed his lips.

Milan sent a look at his bodyguards, who offered him a seat, which he took opposite the man.

Milan crossed his legs and leaned back as his bodyguards moved towards the man.

"Didn't you hear our boss?!"

One of the bodyguards asks as he lifts the man's head up by grabbing his hair.

The man groans through gritted teeth.

"L-Let me go"

The man pleads, but the grip on his hair becomes even tighter, earning a growl from him.

The bodyguard forces him to look at Milan by gripping his head.

"Now answer!"

The man groans in pain, and Milan signals his bodyguard to let go of the man's hair, which he does.

Milan looks up at the man.
