Darkness enveloped Daemon as he continued running from the enemies. Though there isn’t any sound of distant footsteps trailing from behind and, though he doesn’t sense any danger, he still continued running. It’s only a matter of time before the enemies catch on to him and Yvonne. There’s no time for him to rest. Though he wants nothing more than to take a bit of it.

This resolve is greatly enhanced by the fact that he’s got to carry Yvonne as well. This woman’s still unconscious so Daemon’s got no choice in this matter.

Even with everything seeming to be against him, Daemon doesn’t feel much pressure. His steps didn’t sound louder than normal and, he didn’t overthink about the shadows around.
