The bathroom door chose to open at that moment and Collette walked out, her face scrunched up in pain.

Adair's cold eyes quickly melted, quickly getting replaced by a gentle and worried one. Then he rushed towards Collette.

"What can I do to help?" He asked, standing beside her.

"I just need some painkillers. Nothing serious." Collette smiled, trying to keep the pain off her voice.

"I'll get it." Adair nodded, when the pungent smell of blood hit him. Blood? Was she injured?

His eyes swept over her a number of times before he asked, "Did you cut yourself?"

Collette froze, "No, I didn't. Why do you ask?"

Adair looked up at her for a while and shook his head, "Nothing. I thought I smelt blood. I was wrong. I'll be right back with the painkillers."

Before he walked out of the room, he threw a chilly glance towards Aster's direction.

He had no idea who this girl was, but he'd let her off because she seemed to be Collette's only friend.
