Chapter 8: Risking a Live

After Zayn made negotiations with Bianca, they agreed to meet in the park in front of the hospital. Zayn didn't know if his decision was right or wrong, but he didn't have many options. Zayn was worried about his mother's condition, who was still lying there being handled by Doctor Sheldon and the nurses.

Zayn waited for his wife, and finally, Bianca came over. The woman looked so happy; she couldn't even hide the smile on her face.

"These are our divorce documents. Please sign it first!" Bianca handed Zayn some papers.

The man didn't want to comply with Bianca's wishes; he wanted to avenge his wife's treatment, but unfortunately, Zayn needed some money, and Bianca was the closest person who offered to help.

Zayn reluctantly signed all the divorce documents and returned them to Bianca. She happily took the divorce documents.

Zayn took Bianca's hand a second later and said, "Let's go in; I need you to pay the bills."

Bianca saw this and immediately let go of Zayn's hand. She replied, "I'll help you, but not to pay off your mum's medical bills. You are that woman's child and not me."

Receiving such treatment made Zayn then become emotional. As Zayn wanted to restrain Bianca, several men approached from behind Zayn.

"Mate, you can't be so rude to a pretty woman."

Zayn then turned his head and saw that three men seemed to be surrounding him. Zayn recognised one of them.

"Benjamin!" muttered Zayn in confusion.

"Zayn Hayes, sign this document immediately!" the man in fancy clothes said with a contemptuous look. Benjamin looked even more arrogant than before.

"What is this? I am not making a deal with you," Zayn responded while rejecting the document handed to him.

Zayn now saw Bianca switching sides; she joined her mistress. The woman interjected, "Zayn, I said I could help you. Considering that you were so enthusiastic about selling the Hayes family assets earlier, it occurred to me that you should let go of the mansion as well. Benjamin can buy it from you."

"You guys have crossed the line. I can't believe you would deceive me, Bianca," Zayn said in annoyance.

"Deceive? I never said I would help you directly with my money," Bianca replied haughtily.

The argument between them seemed to be heating up. Zayn could not do anything about it. The man wanted to kick Benjamin's arse right now, but unfortunately, he had a bodyguard with him, so Zayn was helpless. Zayn would lie in the hospital if he tried to fight back.

Zayn thought that the Hayes family mansion was the last thing he had. If Zayn had to sell the mansion as well, he and his mother would have no place to live.

But due to Bianca's shrewd insistence and the pressure exerted by Benjamin, Zayn, who already had no options, felt the need to consider it. Zayn thought that this time, the stake was his mother's life if he insisted on keeping his house. The man finally took the sale document of the Hayes family mansion from Benjamin's hand.

"Are you crazy? This price is too low. It's not because I need the money that you guys are making me suffer like this," Zayn tried to make an offer as he read the description and figures on the paper.

"That old and outdated little mansion of yours is usually valued at 100,000 or 120,000 thousand dollars at most. Benjamin was even willing to pay 200,000 dollars to buy it this time. But, you are saying that it is not enough?" Bianca, in a mini outfit, also chimed in there.

"Remember that your mother is still lying in the hospital's emergency room. If you hesitate, I'm afraid you might lose her at any moment."

In the park not far from the hospital, Zayn held his head with both hands. He stared at the contract in front of him tremblingly while listening to Bianca's constant coercion and seduction. The pen in Zayn's hand felt so heavy, and his heart was reluctant to sign the contract.

Because of that woman, the Hayes family mansion would be taken over. Although the mansion was not as big as the other family's, Zayn should be able to receive millions of dollars for the sale and purchase money of a house.

However, what about now? Zayn was only offered 200,000 dollars.

Zayn still couldn't get over the fact that she had to humble herself and expect favours from a bastard like Benjamin Trent. Zayn felt even more unacceptable to sell his only hope for the rest of his life. How could the man come to terms with this reality?

However, Zayn's mum, Teresa, was critically injured inside due to the driver's reckless and irresponsible car accident. Even after undergoing surgery and being there for two days, Teressa, who was undergoing treatment in the emergency unit, was still unconscious.

Umbrella Hospital stated that Zayn had to prepare at least another $200,000 for further treatment. The two-day treatment alone cost hundreds of thousands of dollars, which was paid using all of the Hayes family's remaining assets. Zayn did not have enough money to pay the bill.

As a son-in-law in the Brown family, Zayn had no support and could only rely on the business he had built by himself.

An accident like this can ruin someone's life. However, Zayn cannot afford to lose her mum.

"I'll think about it first," Zayn responded with a low voice.

"I hope you still have time for that. Your mum's life could be lost at any moment," Bianca replied sarcastically.

A furious Zayn quickly responded, "Is that supposed to be a threat to me? You guys have messed up my life; at least give me time to think clearly."

"Mate, you calm down. My girlfriend is just stating the facts. That arrogant tone of yours is going to doom you. Know your current position. You are a useless, rubbish man. It's us who should be protesting and getting angry. You have wasted my precious time." Benjamin began to protest against the attitude shown by Zayn.

Zayn did not try to respond; he immediately turned to leave the park. Zayn knew that if he uttered even one word, Benjamin's men would probably attack him immediately.

"What a stupid man. You will come back to us!" the shouting voice was heard.
