Chapter Twenty-six

Everyone's eyes widened in shock at Ryan's words.

"What did you just say?" Ethan scoffed, his voice dripping with derision.

Ryan shrugged casually. "I’m pretty sure everyone heard me loud and clear. My wife and I may have figured out a way to get the shipment back."

Ethan shot to his feet, furious. "Do you think this is some kind of joke?! How dare you make light of grandmother's words?!"

But Ryan stayed calm, his face unreadable.

Ethan turned to Jane, who was still in shock.

"I don’t blame him, but you to bring this loser into our family, someone who doesn’t take things seriously," he spat at her.

To his surprise, their grandmother stepped in and calmly told him to sit down.

"And what is this solution of yours?" Grandmother demanded.

Ryan chuckled. "You don’t really expect me to spill the plan, do you? We can’t have everyone here taking credit for it."
