Chapter 7

Aiden was stunned and finally nodded, he had to do something for them all to accept him happily.

"I'll do it." The man was happy to hear it but Aunt Lisa disagreed and shook her head saying no.

However, Aiden smiled, this was so Aunt Lisa's husband could feel at ease with Aiden's presence. "Are you sure?" asked Aunt Lisa and Aiden nodded.

"He's a big boy, it's only natural that he's looking for a job."

Aiden looked at the man with an expressionless stare while Mia was still upset at the decision her parents had made.

"Well, I have an acquaintance who can help you." Aunt Lisa then looked at her husband-Darren, she moved back closer to Aiden.

Aiden watched Aunt Lisa, wondering what she would say next. "I still don't like it!" she interrupted as she went into the kitchen.

Aiden saw that, "Auntie has a school friend who works at the Sunshine Hotel, you can go there to work, okay. I'll tell her later."

Aiden had his own plans, but seeing his aunt's concern, he didn't dare say it, this way he could honor his aunt. Aiden also didn't want to disappoint Aunt Lisa.

"Okay, Auntie," Aiden replied with a faint smile and Aunt Lisa was pleased to hear it.

Darren was also relieved that Aiden had agreed to work, it would only take a short time and Aiden would be out of her house in no time.

Darren then walked away leaving Aiden and his wife behind, Aiden who saw Darren fading away more and more, his Uncle's temper was very bad.

"Forget what they said, go to your room." Aiden nodded, but as he walked away, he saw Mia return and face her mother.

Aiden walked into the room Aunt Lisa had pointed out, it was the room that had been prepared for him.

Aiden heard a noise as soon as the door closed, it sounded like Mia was screaming, and Aiden leaned closer to the door.

"Mom! I don't want that man in our house!" Aiden heard that clearly from Mia's mouth.

He chose not to care and lay down on the bed, but Mia's loud voice still sounded very clear, greeted by his mother's reply.

"Never mind, what are you afraid of," the mother replied and Mia clucked in annoyance.

"He's bothering me, I won't be able to be free if he's still here!" Aiden smiled briefly at that, she was apparently afraid of not being able to dress sexy in the house anymore.

"No, you can't interfere with the decision, Mom."

Aiden chose to take a shower and leave them to argue, he then lay down and fell asleep afterward.

The next day as per Aunt Lisa's orders, Aiden went to the Sunshine Hotel. He took a look at the structure of the hotel and the available rooms.

Aiden looked for Aunt Lisa's friend, a woman told him to sit down and wait. A few moments later Aunt Lisa's friend came and approached Aiden.

"I'm Aiden, Aunt Lisa's nephew," Aiden said when the woman asked who he was.

Aunt Lisa's friend didn't seem happy with Aiden, she looked him up and down with a sardonic glare.

Aiden could only hold back and give her an expressionless look. "It was you," the woman said and he nodded.

"Yes," Aiden said briefly and the woman in front of him folded her hands at her waist just like a boss scolding an employee.

"I'm just going to start a new person as a waitress, are you okay with that?" The woman then raised one eyebrow as if to condescend.

Aiden then shook his head briefly, he had no problem with that. "I agree," Aiden replied and the beautiful woman in front of him then smiled.

"You...," the woman called out to a waitress, the waitress then approached and looked at the casually dressed Aiden in front of her. "Tell me what you do."

The waitress bowed her head and gestured for Aiden to follow her. Aunt Lisa's friend then left casually.

The maidservant did not expect this man to be a servant, even though he looked like he belonged.

"You've done this before, right?" Aiden looked at the stacked plates and glasses as he entered the kitchen.

"Yes," Aiden replied casually.

The waiter then handed Aiden some plates and told him to bring them to the ballroom. Aiden agreed and immediately started his work.

When Aiden entered the ballroom, it turned out that there was a big party there. Aiden looked around and was immediately shocked to see Gina and Steven here.

Aiden stepped aside for a bit and hid behind the guests, until he found out that Gina and Steven had an engagement party, so soon?

"Congratulations," said everyone who passed Gina.

Ben was there too, "You're so beautiful," Ben said and everyone agreed and laughed together. "You're very lucky to be divorced from a man like Aiden.

He doesn't deserve a woman like you."

"Wouldn't it be better for a woman like Mrs. Gina to have an equal partner?" One of the guests said and Ben immediately laughed.

Aiden heard that too, they were having too much fun. Aiden walked away again and left them alone.

Everyone else was happy too, Ben looked so happy and still had time to insult Aiden.

"Of course, a poor man who can't be expected like her ex-husband, why keep him." Ben chuckled, "Even an animal chooses its mate carefully."

Aiden felt slightly offended, Ben couldn't keep his mouth shut. Aiden started to stir at the sound of every guest talking about how beautiful Gina was and Aiden being dumped.

"A woman like Gina, where can I get one? She's so beautiful." The guests then started laughing.

Gina heard Ben's words, but she was not very happy today.

Although she should be, because it was the engagement party of her and Steven.

But yesterday she received some secret information. Hamilton's family was going to cancel the financing plan for her company.

How would that happen? It might be a fake news or…

I must ask Steven. She thought.

Anyway, it was her engagement day, she should be happy!

"Shall we toast?" Gina raised her glass and a few people began to accept the welcome. Gina took a small sip and then looked around.

Steven was very happy with the event, he even introduced Gina to his brothers who were there.

The party was greeted with great fanfare even with fancy decorations for the upper class.

Ben watched everyone who came to the party, until his eyes fell on a familiar man.

Ben glanced at Gina who was talking with Steven, he noticed the familiar man and realized that it was the bearer of trouble.

"Isn't that your useless ex-husband?" Ben shouted and Gina and Steven immediately looked away.

Gina saw Aiden's figure and was furious, she quickly clucked and approached Aiden with an annoyed look.

Aiden saw Gina's arrival, he didn't realize that his existence had been discovered.

"What are you doing here? You want to ruin my engagement party!"
