William now understood why Camille's demeanor was so different from the one he had met the first time. It wasn't Camille he had been looking for, but Daphne. His cell phone ringing stopped his activities. From his wife. William did not think long to immediately pick up the phone from Camille.
“Where are you now, huh? All the family is waiting for your presence. Never try to act William!” Camille's words were full of yelling and anger. After that the woman turned off the phone without William being able to explain something.
William exhaled. He immediately went to Abraham's family home following his wife's orders. He also wanted to make sure even more.
"Hey illegitimate child, you have no right to set foot in this house. You don't even have the right to call me your cousin." A boy who looked like he was seven years old was insulting a five year old girl.
"Why are you so mean to me? My mom says we are a family.”
"No! I don't want to admit you as my family. Quickly get out of my sight! My father said your mother was a bad girl. You also don't have a father whose origin is clear. You're disgusting." not forgetting he pushed the little girl away.
William who saw this was surprised. “Hey, are you always that rude to girls?” he asked. William approached the two child. He looked at the little girl who was pushed earlier. She was Daphne's little daughter whose photo William had looked at. His chest was rumbling very loudly. He has a lot in common with her. William seems to see himself in a feminine form.
William crouched down to his height to help the little girl up. "What's your name little girl?" asked William just to be sure.
“Zeva. My name is Zeva.”
William nodded his head. He stood up again. This time he looked at Sam, the little boy who had pushed his daughter. Sam is the son of Damien. "I want you to apologize to him!" William firmly protects his daughter.
Sam snorted a little disdainfully at him. “Do you think you can control me? You have no right to be rude to me. My parents say you are nothing but trash in this house.”
“Damn it! How could such a small child speak so rudely? Have you never been taught manners?”
Sam nodded his head. "Of course. I was also taught how to act towards that scum and illegitimate child.”
Plaque! "Never insult him again!" William slaps Sam even though he only uses a little of his strength but manages to cause Sam great pain. William wanted to teach the boy a lesson. anyone can insult him but he doesn't let anyone insult his daughter.
"Did you just slap me?" Sam held his sore cheek.
"I could even slap you again if you're still being impudent."
Sam was crying. "I will report you to my father. I'm sure you'll get into trouble with him."
William snorted a little while sneering. “Let do it! I'm not afraid and let's see what I can do for your father.” Sam immediately ran into the house. William was sure that the little boy really carried out his threat.
William didn't care. He knelt down again looking at Zeva. Oh! His daughter is so beautiful with her clear eyes and the innocence typical of a child. "You don't need to be afraid. From today I will protect you. Sam won't insult you anymore, if he still does you just report it to me and I will teach him a lesson that will deter him."
Zeva nodded her head. “Thank you good uncle. but why are you helping me? You were the first person to help me apart from my grandparents and my mom.”
William was touched. Abraham's family had always been that arrogant. They always bullied the weak. "Because I'm a good uncle." William smiled a little which made Zeva also smile with his words.
“You are beautiful when you smile little princess. Let's go inside. Let's go meet all the big families.” William carried Zeva easily in one hand.
"what if grandma and the others kick me out?" Zeva asked doubtfully.
“Then I too will defend you again.”
"You are really very good uncle. Not like my bad father.” Zeva grumbled at the end of his sentence showing a hint of hatred.
William frowned. "Why do you talk like that, princess?"
Zeva played with her lips in a pout. “Because he left me and my mother. My grandmother said that it was my father who made us suffer like this. He just disappeared. He's not a man in charge. I hate it."
William was touched by his feelings when he heard his daughter's words. “Princess, you must know that your father is not a bad man. He never meant to disappear from you and your mother let alone leave you. He has urgent matters that prevent him from staying with your mother any longer. You know, he tries to meet your mother every day. Parting with your mother was not easy for her.”
Zeva frowned. "Did you know my father?"
William nodded his head. "I know your father well. You can trust me he's not a bad guy."
Zeva played with his lips. "Then why isn't he back yet? What business prevented him from seeing me and my mother? Why didn't he give any news? Is he that busy?” Zeva peppered William with a lot of questions.
William hesitated for a few moments. He didn't expect to get such a question from his daughter. He didn't know how to explain either. "Zeva, one day he will definitely come back and explain everything to you."
"When?" Zeva's eyes were impatient.
"After he finished all his business. After he dared to kneel before you and your mother to admit all his mistakes.
Zeva nodded her head. “If you meet him you should tell him to sort things out as soon as possible. I want to meet him as soon as possible.”
William smiled a little. "Did you miss your father that much?"
"No!" Zeva shook her head firmly which made William stop his smile. Now the man frowned in confusion. “I want to punish him. I want to curse him because he has made my mother often cry and suffer because of what she did."
William's chest ached even more but at the same time he also felt increasingly convinced that Zeva was his biological daughter. She not only had William's looks but also that man's character. Zeva looks very determined to punish her father.
“Hey damn! Basic ignorance. Why did you slap my son? Are you tired of living huh?” Damien came out of Abraham's house looking at William with an angry face.
William had been waiting for this. before he beat Damien, he let Zeva down first from his arms. "Little girl, can you see your mother first?"
Zeva nodded her head. "I will tell my mother that there are good people who help me."
William nodded his head. He gave Zeva away. Next he challenged Damien's eyes fearlessly. “Your son not only insulted me but he also insulted Zeva. He should be taught a lesson in manners.”
Damien sneered. “You deserve to be insulted, that little girl too. You are as trash in this house. A disgusting pest.”
"shut up!" William threw one punch at Damien. William's hard punch managed to knock Damien down. Not only that, William also grabbed Damien's collar and then threw him in front of everyone who was in Abraham's house.
"What did you just do, William?" her mother-in-law was so shocked.
“I juts Doing what I should have done a long time ago for the likes of you.” William's eyes filled with hatred.Damien limped awake with the help of his wife. The man wiped the blood that came out of his mouth. "you are Human who don't know manners! You are good at using your hands without knowing any manners.” Agatha hissed in disdain looking at William as usual.William smiled slyly. "Oh really? Is good manners for people like you teaching your son to insult elders and use harsh words that such a small child should not say. Oh, I'm so worried seeing his fate that is very night to have bad parents like you guys.""Enough, William!" Mrs. Abraham stood up from her seat. She didn't like it when her beloved grandson was looked down upon. What's more, being insulted by a poor man like William. "I didn't invite you here to make a scene."“Please remind me that you guys are always starting fights with me, grandma. You guys always start insulting me.”"God damn it! You are ungrateful human.”
William, Daphne, Zeva and Mrs Marco come home to a new house given by Mrs Abraham as a small gift for their wedding. They didn't watch the event until it was over because they had already been kicked out. They don't seem to mind too much. The most important thing for Daphne and her family was that she could get money for her father's treatment as soon as possible."Mom, is this our new home?" Zeva stared at the hut in front of her. William looked sadly. That place couldn't be called home. the hut was uninhabitable."Damn it! They are too much. How can they give a bad house like this? Even animals want to live in this place," William hissed angrily. But Daphne and Mrs Marco didn't seem to mind too much. They go inside the house. Although angry, William still followed his wife. Zeva was in William's arms. The little girl immediately got close to him after he helped her."Uncle, will you be living with us from today?" Zeva asked William as he lay Zeva down on the bed. Luckily the house s
Daphne woke up when she heard some noise around her. Slowly she stretched her body. Daphne glanced at the clock it was seven in the morning. She gets up. It's time for Daphne to get moving. Daphne left the room. She was stunned when she saw that the old hut was a little tidier than last night. No dust. Some of the holes in the clothes had been patched up with old paper and broken pieces of wood.Daphne left the house. She saw William was busy making wooden chairs. "Hey," William said wiping his own sweat. The man didn't wear his shirt to reveal his solid muscular body. Moreover, William now smiled welcoming Daphne. "How was your sleep? Did you have a nice dream, Daphne?”"What are you doing?" Daphne also asked William without answering the man's question.“I tidied our house to make it livable. Yeah, despite all my efforts it still can't be said to be worth it. Sorry Daphne, I'll try to make it worth it slowly."Daphne frowned. "Were you up all night?""Actually, I slept for two hours
Mr. Marco underwent successful surgery. He was past his critical period too. Even so, doctors do not recommend that many family members visit. Mrs. Marco looked at her daughter and son-in-law. "You guys must go home! Let me accompany your father here, Daphne.”Daphne shook her head. "I also want to be beside my father, mom."Mrs. Marco stroked her daughter's cheek. “Daphne, you've been in the hospital too long. Zeva was also tired and wanted to rest. After all, isn't your husband have to working tomorrow?”“Daphne, your mother is right. We're going home now. Tomorrow you will take care of father. am I right, mom?” William intervened. Daphne glanced at the man briefly then nodded her head. They finally came home.Zeva fell asleep immediately when she got home while Daphne was still silent for a long time. William who saw it approached his wife. He gave Daphne hot chocolate hoping that Daphne would relax and sleep."There's no need to think about your father's condition, I'm sure he's f
Daphne's first day as a waitress was nearly going well. She recorded the food according to the order by the customer. She is also good at cleaning tables and mopping floors. Her hair is tied up so that it looks neater so it doesn't interfere with her work. She couldn't expect the supposedly useless William. Although She really wanted to be in the hospital accompanying her father."Good afternoon, sir!" Daphne greets customers in a friendly manner."Hi Daphne. Nice to see you again, how are you?" It turned out that the customer was an acquaintance of Daphne named Andreas."I'm well." Daphne tried to smile kindly."I heard you married Camille's ex-husband." Andreas spoke again. the whole town of Akhonto knows her after the scandal she created six years ago. it was hard for Daphne to hide her private life."Yeah, that's how it is." Daphne answered as it was. What more could she say."Daphne, I'd like to order food. Can you give me a menu?"Daphne nodded her head. "Here you are.""Uhm, ev
Andreas cleared his throat a little. "Then what do you have for this incident?"“Mrs. Daphne has repeatedly apologized to you on behalf of her husband as well as herself. Now it's your turn to apologize to her and Mr. William."Andreas clucked in disbelief. "I can't apologize to either of them. How can a waitress and this useless man be found not guilty. It hurts my pride, Jordan.”Jordan nodded his head. "That means you choose the second option, sir! the whole city of Akhonto will know about this incident and your reputation will be in doubt.”Andreas took a sip of his saliva. "Daphne, I'm sorry. And to you too." Andreas' face flushed with embarrassment.“You also have to compensate for your insult to them. You've also disturbed Daphne's work.""Mr. Jordan, no need for compensation." Daphne shook her head. She felt that an apology would suffice. The next action was too much.Jordan shook his head. "No ma'am, if he doesn't want to go to jail for the act of verbal abuse he committed th
“Mom!” Zeva immediately rushed into her mother's arms as soon as she saw Daphne's presence. Daphne's wide smile looked very wide. She kissed all over her daughter's face full of love. Even though Daphne was only working, Zeva missed her mother very much."Aren't you going to hug me too?" William did not want to lose.Zeva chuckled. She held out her hand expecting William to take it. The man did. Zeva hugged her. "I miss you too, uncle." William chuckled. He never thought having a child would be as enjoyable as this."Daphne, can we talk alone?" Mrs. Marco dragged her daughter a little away when she saw that Zeva was comfortable with William. Daphne nodded her head she followed her mother's steps to get away to the corner of the room for a while."What's wrong, mom? Did the doctor say anything bad about dad?” Daphne asked worriedly.Mrs. Marco shook her head. "it is not about your father."Daphne frowned. "Then?""Since yesterday after your father was operated on, I have felt somethin
Camille was still overjoyed. She celebrated her widowhood and engagement by partying every day. It had been a long time since Camille had been bothered by her good-for-nothing husband. usually Camille will get a thousand pieces of advice that make her ears tired. Not anymore. She got her social status back as before."Oh, what happened to your face, Andreas?" Camille reprimanded Andreas who had just attended her party with a face full of bruises.Andreas immediately cursed. "All of this is because of what your ex-husband did, Camille."Camille frowned. "Are you saying the bruise on your face was William's doing?"Andreas rolled his eyes in exasperation. "Do you have any other ex-husband besides that poor useless man?"Camille shrugged. Her pretty face chuckled. “How could you let William touch your face? What did you do to him, huh?”Andreas waved his hand not wanting to discuss further. Andreas's gaze was fixed on Brandon who was embracing Camille very affectionately at this time. “D
