Chp. 3. First Rich Life

It took some time for Dylan to understand everything. He had just been informed that he was the next heir to the Sullivan family, which gave him access to all parts of the house, including the Sullivan fortune and his position in the company.

A wide smile spread across the man's face. His head kept spinning, still in disbelief that he could suddenly become rich like this, something that could only exist in fictional stories.

"You'll be living in this house with all the amenities," Richard explained.

"You no longer need to live with the Watsons, whether you owe them a favor or not," Louis said.

"The Watson family shouldn't be picking on you like that. You are a respected person. If they insult you, then they are indirectly insulting us," Richard said.

"I know. Their treatment of me has been so cruel that I will never forget it. With all the things you guys have given me, at least I have a chance to repay what they've done to me all these years!" Dylan retorted.

"You have the right to do anything, don't worry. We will assist you in avenging their family," Richard said.

Dylan stood up, stepped off the couch, and walked around the place. His eyes kept wandering to the side, taking in the furniture in the place.

"Can I do it now?" asked Dylan.

He turned his head towards the back, precisely to Richard and Louis, who were still in the vicinity. The two nodded, allowing their son to use all the power of the Sullivan family to take revenge.

"What exactly did you want to do to the Watson family?" asked Richard.

"They bought the orphanage where I grew up. I worked all this time with the Watsons to pay off the cost of buying the orphanage, but I realized it would take a long time," said Dylan.

"So, you're going to buy the orphanage?" asked Richard.

Dylan nodded and cleared his throat softly. Dylan never thought that he had another way to get the revenge he wanted. Maya walked up to Dylan, standing tall with a stern smile on her face.

"Is there anything I can do for you?" she asked.

"Take me to Robert's workplace. I'll talk to him directly!" said Dylan, with a face full of seriousness.

"All right," said Maya.

The two left the Sullivan residence together in a black sedan with two SUVs following close behind. The motorcade exited the Sullivan residence complex, heading for Robert's office not far from the Sullivan residence.

About fifteen minutes into the trip, the cars arrived at the front yard of the Monarch company. It was clear that the Monarch employees were still working inside the company with only a few hours left to go home.

The motorcade stopped right in front of Monarch's office building, surprising many people as they assumed that the people inside were important.

Maya got out of the sedan first, followed by Dylan, who got out after she opened the car door for him.

Everyone was stunned, frozen where they stood with their eyes wide. They watched Dylan get out of the luxury sedan with five bodyguards walking behind the man, guarding him.

"Isn't that the lousy OB?"

"Right, but why did he get out of that car?"

"What was he trying to do here?"

Dylan felt proud and full of confidence as he stepped into the elevator. The elevator doors opened, revealing Melissa coming out with several assistants in tow, the woman just as surprised as the employees.

"You! Why are you here? And who are they?" asked Melisa, glaring at Dylan.

"I'm here to see my brother-in-law. I have something to discuss," Dylan replied, walking in just as Melisa stepped out.

"What does an OB like you want to discuss with the CEO of Monarch?" asked Melissa, laughing contemptuously.

"OB, huh? I have a brilliant idea for this. You'll find out soon enough, dear!" snapped Dylan.

The elevator doors closed with Dylan and his bodyguard inside. Melissa was quite curious. The woman seemed to be waiting in front of the elevator to get back on, considering Dylan looked confident earlier.

"What are you doing, Mrs. Melissa?" asked one of her assistants, gasping at the sight of Melissa taking the elevator back upstairs.

"You wait here. I need to see what's going on up there," Melissa explained.

The elevator doors opened. Dylan got out and found himself on the highest floor of Monarch's office, where the CEO and Monarch's top officials worked.

He walked with his bodyguards on the floor, startling the people in the place so much that they were stunned and stopped what they were doing. They were so curious about what Dylan was going to do in this place, the OB that they had always despised.

"Schedule a meeting with the shareholders tomorrow. I have a decision to make on their recommendation," Robert said, speaking to his assistant through his phone.

Dylan arrived at the CEO's office door with Robert Watson's name prominently displayed on the glass door. Dylan entered without knocking, leaving many people stunned at Dylan's boldness, something they had never seen before.

Robert turned around, gasping as Dylan arrived with a woman and five men in black suits behind him. Robert squinted his eyes, trying to understand Dylan's intentions.

"What's going on? Why are you here, you little shit?!" moaned Robert.

"I'll take that as your last insult to me," Dylan replied.

The man stepped closer to Robert's desk, as did Maya. Dylan and Maya sat in a chair directly in front of the CEO's desk.

"Who are they?" asked Robert, loudly.

"They are my bodyguards. They've come to protect me from the violence you're always doing," Dylan replied.

"DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH!" shouted Robert, his face flushed with both hands seemingly pounding the table violently.

"I'm not lying," said Dylan.

"He's right, Mr. Robert. Dylan is our master now," Maya replied, emphasizing Dylan's position in front of Robert.

"Master'? Haha! You're a commoner. How can you have bodyguards like them?" Robert asked.

Dylan paused, taking in his surroundings carefully. Monarch was Watson's second company, working in the field of shipping and estate. Dylan already knew very well what the work at Monarch was like.

"I'll speak to you directly. I want to buy the orphanage you bought," Dylan said.

"Huh?! Buy it?! HAHA!" Robert laughed out loud at that, something he didn't think was possible.

The door to Robert's office opened, revealing Melissa standing breathless, running from the elevator doors into the office.

She was immediately restrained by Dylan's bodyguards, drawing the man's attention until Dylan ordered his two bodyguards to release their grip on Melissa.

"How much is it? Name it!" said Dylan.

"Hmm ... I'll sell it for $1,000,000."

Dylan squinted his eyes, pausing for a moment with his eyes fixed on Robert. That made Robert even more convinced that Dylan was a fool who could only bluff.

"I knew you wouldn't—"

"I already sent it," Maya said, interrupting Robert.

"I thought it would be more expensive than that," Dylan complained.

A woman from the finance department arrived. She arrived with the information on her laptop. $ 1,000,000 had been sent to Monarch's account. Robert and Melissa widened their eyes, both walking over to the woman to see it in person.

"So, when can I get the certificate of land?" asked Dylan, standing up as well as Maya.

Robert looked back with a shocked face, full of disbelief. The report said the sender was Sully Corp, a company owned by the Sullivan Family.

"Sully Corp? Why would the Sullivan Family send this money?" Robert asked.

"Because the man beside me is not Dylan Perry, but Dylan Sullivan. He's the only heir to the Sullivan Family!"
