Chapter 6
Author: Oldwell
The Dragon Head?

Elias and Brianne glanced at each other in shock upon hearing that name. Of course, they knew who he was and how influential he was in the city’s underground dealings. But what was he doing here of all places?

“Welcome him inside right now!” Elias ordered. Yes, he was the richest man in the city, but he still couldn’t risk offending Anthony Mark, given his position.

“Just in time. Maybe your friend knows the Dragon Head, hm?” Brianne mocked Remus once more. Most of the prisoners from Neptuna were disciples of the Dragon Head’s guild, after all. Remus’ friends might even turn tail upon seeing his boss!

“Heh,” was Remus’ response. It pissed Brianne off to no end. Even Elias ground his teeth for a bit after hearing that. They were going to enjoy seeing the Dragon Head put him in his place.

Just then, Mr. Anderson led Anthony in. Elias immediately greeted him with a smile. “Lady Luck has graced us with your presence, Mr. Dragon Head.”

“Welcome, sir,” Brianne greeted warmly.

Anthony nodded with a smile and was about to say something when Remus piped up.

“Don’t talk to them. They disgust me.” He wrinkled his nose. “This place smells rotten, too. Get the car started. I want to leave ASAP.”

Both Bowens were taken aback by his words. How dare he…

“Yes, sir. I’ll have the car running right away,” Anthony instantly responded, ducking down slightly in respect. He went up to Remus’ side with an umbrella in hand, ready to escort him out the door.

Before they crossed the threshold, Remus paused and said, “Don’t think too highly of yourselves. You’re nothing to me.” Then, he finally left.

Elias and Brianne were left gaping, stunned. Their scalps began to prickle with the realization that Anthony had come to pick Remus up.

So Remus Cosby was superior to the Dragon Head himself?!

“D-dear, who exactly is this Remus guy?” Brianne asked, frightened. She was already regretting how she had spoken to the young man.

“I don’t know!” Elias exclaimed. What was happening? Why was Anthony Mark, the Dragon Head himself, bowing down to Remus Cosby? What kind of titan was that young man?!

They gave each other a knowing glance before racing to their daughter’s room.

“Do you need me to deal with Elias Bowen, Mr. Cosby?” Anthony offered. According to his Temple Lord’s instructions, he needed to serve this man well.

One word of assent from Remus, and they would do the necessary.

Remus looked out the window. “Nah.” He wouldn’t be seeing the Bowen family any time soon once he left Neptuna.

“Alright. Where are we headed now, sir?”

According to Remus’ original plan, he would find a place to sleep for the night. He could wait a few days for Jean Lotus to come to Neptuna and cancel their engagement then.

Not at a hotel, though.

“I’ll tell you later. Drive first,” Remus said. He called up the chief warden from Underhill Prison to ask about local homestays to stay in for a couple of days.

He was quickly informed that someone in the prison owned a large penthouse in the city called the Imperial Villa. That person was called the Working Emperor, and he was a man who had committed tax fraud.

“Tax fraud…” Remus sighed and shook his head. It was one of the lowest levels of crime in Underhill Prison, making the Working Emperor less than what Draculus Magna’s Temple Lord was worth.

Remus had the warden make sure the man wouldn’t be bothered in prison throughout the next month.

They soon reached the neighborhood in Mount Imperia. There were over thirty villas in total, with Imperial Villa sitting at the peak of the mountain. It had a stunning view of the entire city.

Remus had Anthony leave after dropping him off. He entered the villa with a password provided to him and sized the place up.

It was lavishly decorated; antiques were artistically scattered here and there as if they weren’t worth anything. Remus thought he might be in a faux museum.

“Hm?” Something caught his attention. It was the sound of water quietly running.

He glanced upstairs at the source of the sound, then sniffed the air. Instantly, he slumped over in defeat.

A woman was in the house right now.

Remus guessed the Working Emperor might’ve arranged for her to be here for his pleasure.

He didn’t really appreciate it, to be honest.

He sat on the couch, waiting for her to finish washing up and leave. She smelled like she was still a virgin…but his master had said he shouldn’t hand his first time to just anyone.

Remus quietly prayed his master would come back soon. He would finish canceling the remaining six marriages and go back to wait for him in prison.

Just then, the woman came out onto the landing. Remus turned to look just in time to find her gazing at him, hair still wet from the shower. She was beautiful and sexy, but what was most eye-catching was the fact that she didn’t have anything on.

The moment Remus realized this, he jerked his head away.

“Please put something on. You can leave after.”

The woman’s face flushed red when she heard that. A dangerous glint flared in her eyes, but she turned to go back into her room a second later.

Remus heaved a sigh when he heard her walk away. She might’ve been tasked to accompany him, but coming out fully naked was still a pretty bold move. What if someone else was in the house right now?

After some time, the woman stepped out again, now clad in a wine-red nightgown. She was oozing sensuality.

Remus frowned. “Why are you dressed for bed? I don’t need your services, so please leave right away.”

That glint reappeared in the woman’s eyes, though she swiftly masked it with an amorous smile.

“You say no, yet your body doesn’t lie,” she purred as she walked downstairs.

Remus glanced down instantly and noticed what she was talking about. He wanted to bury himself in a hole but tried to stay composed. This was his first time being exposed to such an experience; it was a normal reaction.

“Enough with the chit-chat. Now, leave!”

“But I live here…” The woman came up to him, eyes hooded. “You don’t need my services, but I might… You haven’t been with a woman, have you, little guy? Why don’t I show you, hm?”

Remus gazed at her incredulously. “You live here?”

Wasn’t this the Working Emperor’s villa?Could she…could she be that sugar baby the man had kept around?Remus thought it might be possible. She seemed like one of those mistresses left alone without their lover.“You could live here too,” she purred, rubbing Remus’ chest. “Why don’t you go upstairs first, hm? I’ll be right there, and then we can enjoy ourselves properly.”This was the first time a woman had touched Remus. His heart felt like it might explode. He silently cursed the Working Emperor for letting this happen. He peeled away from her touch and dashed upstairs, heading right into the shower.“Hmm…” The woman laughed, then called out, “Remember to wash yourself clean and wait for me in bed!”In the next second, her expression fell, and she used her phone to order several guards to come wait in the living room. They were all dressed in tunics lined with gold.“Miss!” they greeted politely, standing in line. She had already put on modest clothes by this time. “A man s

He didn’t have any plans in Neptuna tonight. “So can you leave now?”“Nope,” Jean teased. “I still want to sleep with you. Elias knew he would only get answers by mentioning the marriage agreement.Sure enough, Anthony’s attitude did a 180-degree turn. No wonder Remus didn’t have him do anything to the Bowen family yesterday. Anthony would’ve gotten into big trouble if he had.“I see!” He chuckled. “To be frank with you, Eli, I’m not sure about Mr. Cosby’s identity either. A friend of mine asked me to help him while he’s in town. That's all.”He couldn’t reveal it was his Temple Lord who gave the order.Friend? Elias hummed. This friend must be powerful; otherwise, the Dragon Head himself wouldn’t be so subservient to Remus.“Did this friend of yours stay in prison for some time?”That must be the only way Remus had come to know this mystery person.“Yes. They’re currently still in prison.”Elias nodded to himself in understanding. Beside him, Brianne scoffed. “See? I told you Remus Cosby was just a lackey. He might just be the guy who scrubbed that other guy’s toilet for three years in prison!”E

”Hold up!” Bald Richard called out, then carefully eyed Remus again.People usually cowered at the sound of his name, so this young man really stood out. Bald Richard suspected that he was hiding something. Heck, he even dared to call the Dragon Head by name. “You know the Dragon Head?” Bald Richard asked tentatively.“Ask him that yourself,” Remus retorted.Everyone realized how much of a big shot he was. No wonder he didn’t keep quiet or grovel before Bald Richard. Even the guy that was going to beat Remus up started to fear for his own safety.Kylie frowned. Did Remus really know the Dragon Head?Just then, Bald Richard’s phone call went through. His demeanor immediately turned sheepish as he asked, “Dragon Head, sir, are you busy right now?”“Get to the point!” Anthony snapped. He was angry because he had just been informed of Remus Cosby’s true identity. Apparently, he wasn’t a highly-respected person; he was just some guy who had scrubbed the Temple Lord’s toilet!Yes, h

The name sounded familiar to the guard. He glanced at him and told him to wait before turning toward the suite to report.“Watch the cavalry sent across the vast lands. He frowned when the guard entered. “What’s the matter?”Anthony hated people walking around while he was singing. The guard bent down and whispered, “Mr. Mark, someone named Remus Cosby is looking for you.”Remus Cosby? Him again?Anthony’s expression changed as he thought, “Is this how Bald Richard takes care of things? I ordered him to cripple Remus, yet he’s at my door, looking for me?”“Tell him to leave. Tell him I’m not here!” Anthony said irritably. It would’ve all been fine if his subordinates had paralyzed Remus. However, if he did it and Remus reported it to the Temple Lord, it would attract unnecessary trouble.“Understood.” The guard turned and saw

Still, the sect leaders circled around him.“Dragon Head, how are you feeling?”“Take him to the back!”“Let’s fight for the Dragon Head. Kill that bastard!”Behind all the sect leaders were at least hundreds of their subordinates. Hearing the command, all of them raised their weapons simultaneously. They stared at the door, ready to attack at any time.Remus walked out calmly. When he saw the scene in the corridor, he smiled, unsurprised. Hearing the footsteps, he knew there would be a group. This must be a small group, and he guessed there would be more downstairs. However, no matter how many ordinary people there were, they meant nothing to Remus. He asked casually, “Single combat? Or a group fight?”Seeing Remus, everyone was shocked. Who was this guy? No one knew him, nor had they seen him. Everyone thought that a powerful fighter had returned. Instead, a young man appeared. Did he just say Amez was about to arrive?Even though they already knew they would be coming, hearing it directly from Francis was still quite shocking.Francis ignored their expressions and continued, "So, no matter what the Monarch's mentor is plotting, it no longer matters. The most important thing right now is figuring out how to get through the present situation."Everyone else's expression became serious. Since none of them were eligible to compete, Francis' comments were directed solely at him. How would he respond?Roman's expression changed, and he was unsure of how to respond. If he acknowledged Francis, wouldn't that mean admitting defeat, rendering all his previous efforts futile? Additionally, it was embarrassing. But if he refused to acknowledge Francis, his current capabilities just didn't allow it. There was no way for him to win against Francis at the moment. What should he do?After a moment of reflection, he replied, "With external threats looming, it's too early to consider this issue. We don't even know if we can withstand the current challenge. He shouldn't have been able to shatter the giant blade.""Why..."The four ghost kings were utterly shocked and couldn't believe their eyes. Francis responded succinctly, and as soon as these words were spoken, the blade started dropping down on Roman. The ghost kings' expressions drastically changed, filled with terror in an instant, forgetting to even fight back.On the other hand, Roman knew he had to defend himself but continued to persevere, not believing that Francis would go to such extremes. But at that moment, Kaiser shouted from below, "Wait!"Kaiser had witnessed the entire scene and was already completely stunned by the suddenness of everything. Kaiser also began to shake uncontrollably because he already had a bad feeling about the situation.Francis openly stated, "Because I promised to be his inside contact for attacking Darsia, making it easier for him to take over this land.
