2 A CHECK AS MAKE UP FOR HIS HARD WORK

Immediately, Kate took off the ring on her finger. She took out a check paper that was already inside her back pocket and threw it with the ring to Aidan's face.

This made him burn in anger as if he should punch her in the face, but it was unlawful to beat a woman.

But if it was a man who made him angry like this, he would have ended up in the hospital.

Aidan held his fist tightly, his mind changed times, and finally, he sighed and made a wry smile. He picked up the check-up, agreed to divorce, and left the villa.

“Bravo!” Mrs. Emily jested as she clapped mockingly, but she was furious at the check Aidan had received from her daughter.

Without uttering a word, Aidan maintained a smiling face and turned around to leave. He suddenly stopped in his tracks and turned around and gazed at Kate and then at her mother.

He giggled and shrugged before he continued to the door. Aidan wished this could just turn into a dream, but reality had taken over.

“Kate,” Mrs. Emily called out and stood up from the sofa and gestured to where Kate was standing.“ Why are you looking worried?” she asked suspiciously.

“Nothing,” she shook her head as she lowered her gaze to the ground.

“Nothing? And you are looking moody? Come on, isn't it your choice to get rid of him? Why worried?" She threw a series of questions to Kate, but she kept dumb.

Mrs. Emily cupped Kate's jaw into her palms and raised her head.

“Look me in the eye and tell me that you still love him,” she said sarcastically.

“I don't love him, mom. He is no longer in my class. I'm above his level.” she responded and turned her back to Mrs. Emily's gaze.

At that moment, a sense of reasoning hit Mrs. Emily, and she immediately picked up her phone and started to type something as she spoke with Kate.

“Just forget about him.” she advised.“ I have got numerous rich men who are ready to die for you, Kate. Someone like you deserves a billionaire as a husband and not unwanted people whose society doesn't know whether they exist or not,” she added.

On hearing her mother, Kate acted coldly and replied to her,“ I don't want to get married anytime soon.” she said and turned around.

Kate was shocked to see her mother typing so fast on her phone as if she was in a haste to pass information to someone.

“Don't say that, Kate.” She scoffed as she continued operating her phone.

All this while, she wasn't aware that Kate had been staring at her.

Kate didn't utter a word and waited for her mom to raise her head, but she was too committed to whatever she was typing.

“Mom!” Kate screamed out her name and she trembled and quickly raised her head.“ What's it that you are typing?” Kate asked.

“Nothing… nothing.” she responded with a slight smile.“ Kate, do well to get a new man soon.” she swapped back to the previous discussion to avoid more questions about what she was typing.

“I told you I'm not ready for that now.” she smacked and began leaving to her room.

Mrs. Emily didn't say any more words as she stared at her daughter climbing the staircase to her room.

Kate went back to her room, seeing Aidan left, she felt something important just left her, but in these years of hard-work, she thought Aidan was an unnecessary guy to her.

But now, she can't tell how she feels after he left.

Aidan got out of the villa, and just when he was on the road depressed, a man stopped him.

It was Kate's younger brother who was a bit taller than Aidan, but Aidan was older than he. Probably a five-year gap.

Aidan asked what he wanted to do, he didn’t like Kate's younger brother because he was just a leech to the family.

“I want to ask for the one million dollars back. I mean the one million dollars check my sister gave you,” he said, and Aidan pulled a long face and gathered his brows.

He sneered and asked,“ who asked you to come to get it? Because if I can remember, it was given to me as makeup.”

It turned out that it was his mother, Mrs. Emily, typing as she informed him to stop Aidan on the way and take away the check from him.

Felix ignored his question and went ahead to despise him.“ Ew! See how disgusting you look. I advise you to go to the street and be a beggar, so you won't waste your talent as a beggar.”

This roused Aidan's anger, and he clenched his fist and clunked his teeth against each other as he glared at Felix.

“Give me back the money, you son of a bitch!” he cursed and stretched out his hand to receive the check from him.

Aidan got more furious that he was out of patience, as he would no longer take any insult from him.

After noticing that Aidan wasn't going to give the money, he launched a punch at Aidan, but he seemed to be an expert in combat, and he beat Felix in seconds.

“Just because you are taller than me doesn't mean you can take me to the ground, bitch.” Aidan spat out angrily.

With anger, Aidan destroyed the check and threw the pieces at Felix's face, and sneered at him.

“I never wanted the money, but I won't give it to you either,” Aidan announced angrily, and Felix furrowed his brows.

He groaned on the ground after being beaten up by Aidan. Even at that, Felix was still struggling to stand up and fight Aidan.

He wasn't scared despite the muscular frames Aidan has. Their body shapes are the opposite. Felix was slim, but Aidan has an average body size.

Aidan was a very handsome-looking man to whom girls easily get attracted. He has black hair with brown eyes. Small forehead, full eyebrows, and is average in height.

“Bitch! I will teach you a lesson that you will never forget, even in your next life.” Felix shouted at the top of his voice as he lay on the ground, looking helpless.

Aidan ignored him and continued with his walk and left Felix still laying there with pain all over his body.

Seeing that Aidan had left, Felix managed to stand up from the ground and opened the car he came with, and took his phone.

As soon as he took his phone, he dialed Kate's line, and she picked up almost immediately.

“Sis,” Felix called with a high-pitched tone."That servant you kicked out of our family beat me badly!” he announced, and Kate was shocked to hear that because she didn't know Aidan with that attitude.

“What!” she mouthed,“ what offense did you commit for him to do that to you?” her angry voice echoed from the phone.

“I did nothing to him.” he lied.“ I was on my way home, and he attacked me,” he added, and this made Kate more furious.

“How dare he do that?” she raged from the phone, and Felix was glad to hear her getting angrier.

He and his mother have always wanted Kate to treat Aidan like trash before getting rid of him.

Now that she is angry at him even after Aidan has left their house, Felix was sure that his sister was going to wage war against him.
