Miranda, lord Henry, and Elle mounted their horses and rode off to the manor. Kevin and Elle had asked what was happening and Miranda briefed them.

"I do not think it is such a good idea, Miranda. I have to agree with lord Henry on this." Kevin had said to her.

"We just need to believe that it can happen. Every other thing will fall into place. All we need to do is believe.", Miranda tried convincing Kevin but his mind was made up.

"At least let me come with you. Should anything go wrong, you will need protection." He argued

"I need you here with the soldiers, you and Hela. I need to know I have trusted people taking care of things here. Besides, the message I want to pass on will be more convincing if I go there with fewer people."

Kevin nodded when she said so and let her go. As Miranda rode off, he held Hela's hand tightly and sighed.

"You did not say a thing. Do you not think it's a bad idea?" He asked her and she shrugged her shoulders.

"Miranda has never done anything that she

Lord Henry stood before the mass grave for a minute in silence in respect for all those who had fallen for the cause. Those guards were people who he had once led and loved. He was not sad that they died for he knew they died for their Kingdom. It was a proud thing to do and he was very certain of that. But still, that fact didn't make it less painful. They would have been patrolling the ground at that time, all of them dutiful bastards who even dared crack jokes about him sometimes. It was a nice time in the manor, which at the moment was reduced to nothing but a desolate and empty place. No one remained after that night. They either died or ran away. Lord Henry was certain that his father might have heard the news by then, but he was guilty of the fact that somehow he had forgotten how to inform his father of the developments. That was not a dutiful thing to do. Perhaps he would after that night was over.Miranda and Elle walked out of the manor and headed toward Lord Henry. She had

She feared something had happened to him as it did with Oregon. They kept on marching until they could see the palace ahead. Each of them knew what they were going to do. Miranda had crafted a brilliant plan which could give them Victory if perfectly executed. Her comrades knew they might never have another chance such as that again and so, each of them made a resolution to do their best. When they got to a confluence, Miranda looked at lord Henry and nodded. He nodded back and suddenly rode off towards the secret path with the men under his command. Kendrick quickly replaced him in line. Some mages went ahead of them and began to perform spells to block the sight of the mintovals within

Miranda stood by the window as she witnessed the rising of the sun. It felt like it was the first sunlight she had experienced since she was born. The warmth of the sun made her body quiver with anticipation of the unknown. It had been a perilous night, perhaps the longest she had ever experienced. The Kingdom was now the people's. She stood there simply as the bridge between the people and the throne, a role she was more than happy to play. As she kept observing the sunlight, the door that led to the room she was standing in slowly opened. She sighed as she turned around, gazing as Kevin stepped into the room.He sighed as he slowly approached her. There was a look of satisfaction and gratification on his face. He could not remember the last time he was that peaceful, and to think that he nearly died the night before was even more upsetting. But he was peaceful and that was all that mattered."How are you enjoying the peace?" Kevin asked her as he approached. The room was the former

Damek hid behind a tree as the group of mages and soldiers sent by Miranda to bring them in dashed past them. The mages used magic to try and locate them but Damek was fast enough to create a fake magical trail for them to follow. He watched as they ran towards the trail and then, dashed back to the little cave where he and Richmond were hiding.Since the events of the previous night, the entire capital has been swarming with guards and soldiers. Damek did not know where most of them came from. They had been dormant until then. He was certain he had underestimated the power of the Elderien people and that was weird since he was once one of them. Perhaps things and people change, or maybe even when he was there, he did not belong with them. He found his true place in Mintoval and that was all that mattered to him. As he approached the cave, he glanced over his shoulder again and used magic to scan his environment in order to make sure that no mage was following him. When all was clear

Richmond took the lead as they walked out of the woods. He was getting suffocated in the cave where they had been hiding. It was true that the mages were still after them but when Richmond thought of it, none of the mages knew what they looked like, or did they? Nevertheless, he wanted to take the shot and see where he would get To. Damek, on the other hand, hated the idea. He did not want them to step out of the cave at all. Richmond scoffed at his opinion and considered him to be whining."You have acted all bold and mighty. What happened to you along the way? Why are you scared?" Richmond had asked."I am not afraid, I am only being cautious. This is a stupid move and it will be the death of us if we do not think well before we act.""And what do you suggest? Do we keep hiding here like rats while the good things of my kingdom get taken away by my sister? Is that what you want?""My powers are not as strong as they once were, Richmond. Miranda stood still as she gazed at her reflection in the mirror. She was dressed for the occasion. The beautiful purple dress she was wearing coupled with the ornaments that adorned her made her look like a true queen. It had taken so long for her to get here, it had taken so much. She could already hear the coronation bells ringing. The Lords were rushing into the courtroom, awaiting the presence of the woman to be crowned queen. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary and there was no disturbance whatsoever. She had expected a Mintoval uprising or an attack prior to the coronation but there was none. Was Richmond going to be silent while she took the throne? He had not been arrested and the mages sent out to find him had not reported anything. She was beginning to get worried. But then, the door to her chambers opened and Elle walked inside. She smiled delightedly as she saw Miranda. She was truly the most beautiful woman in the Kingdom and no one could dispute that fact. "My Queen...My Queen...we must go..."Miranda could hear someone call to her but she was unresponsive. She was the queen, was she not? She had taken the crown, only for her to experience the greatest tragedy of her life. She could barely breathe. There was a tightness in her chest and her mind was not with her."Miranda!"Kevin called to her again and she came back to her senses. She slowly looked around her and one more time, she was hit by the smell of blood and alcohol. She saw the masses of dead Lords on the ground, only one or two who did not drink had managed to survive the attack. Those were shaken and they clung to each other like leeches."We caught one of them," Kevin said to her and she nodded."Bring them to me." She slowly replied and shut her eyes, feeling tears stream down from her face. Her eyes were blaring with anger, and the only thing in her eyes other than anger was turmoil, pain, and regret. She steadied the crossbow in her hand and fixed her gaze upon Cara. Her eyes never left her. It seemed like she could remember what happened that day, the fire that suddenly blasted them all apart. She could remember the smell of burnt flesh which filled the air, saturating every part of the house. She could remember the smell of her own flesh and the moment that hit her, her face twitched a little. She took a deep breath and pointed the crossbow at Cara. "You didn't even ask for her name." Cara said to Alastair as they walked down the busy road. Their short time at the pub had not turned out the way Alastair hoped. He just kept walking in silence, and the silence was what made Cara uncomfortable."I did not need to," Alastair replied and she scoffed."Why not? She was clearly into you and you liked her as well. What is stopping you?" Cara asked, but then she realized how insensitive her statement was. She should not say such things about Alastair's relationship."Is it because of Miranda?" She asked but he was silent."How do you know she is still waiting for you?" Cara asked again but Alastair still said nothing. She was right. He did not know. But the thing bothering him was that he might not live to find out. "I... I do not want to forget her. I want to cherish our memories together until there is nothing left of me. The town was a beautiful place, quite exotic as well.He did not know if it were the decorations, or the thrill in the air but he was certain that that town had seen alot of bad days in the past and they were trying to make out the future as best as they can. He could see a young woman and two kids which looked like they were hers. The woman glanced at him and smiled, a smile which melted Alastair's heart. He saw that she had twin boys, and the imagination of the kind of life he would have been living if he grew up with his mother and brother was vivid. One of the twin boys ran towards him and gave him a popsicle. The journey was quiet, and although the moonlight shone upon them like the ever glowing beam of light that it is, Cara was not feeling it. She just kept walking, a step behind Alastair. Her head was bowed, her fists were clenched. Her nails were digging into her palms, although not enough to give her an injury, it still hurt.Maybe she wanted it to hurt. Maybe she just wanted to feel something at the end of the day. She had been so hollow ever since the fight. She could feel Asmodeus crawling around in her mind. She could feel the Phoenix slowly regressing. She could feel the terror that was coming, very one that she was destined to bring upon the world."Are you alright?" Alastair asked her, snapping her out of it. She nodded quickly and looked at him for a moment. "You look disturbed. Is there anything you would like to talk about?" An energy blast escaped from cara's body and hit all those that were in close proximity to her, James and Denise included. He and his followers were not sure of what to do at that point. They slowly stood to their feet and watched as she stretched out her hand toward them.
