Chapter Seventeen

Keith ran his fingers through his hair releasing a deep sigh as he drank directly from the wine bottle. He was seated on the lounge chair by the balcony with his legs spread wide apart and bottles of wine between them. He was still dressed as he had been dressed for his confrontation with the Hockings except his buttons were undone, his belt was lying a few meters away from him, and now bare feet. When he had arrived back at his hotel he had been grateful to find that the lobby was almost empty and he didn't forget to get his key card but none of that could get his mind off the ultimate shock he had gotten today. Anytime he let his guard down with the Hockings they just came with a much harder blow to leave a stronger impact, they never ceased to surprise him. But he was angry at himself because somewhere deep in him he had a bit of faith in Sheila, now he felt nothing but despise for her and her family.

None of that mattered now anyway, he took a chug down from his bottle, grimacing
