Chapter twenty-four

“I’ll have Bruce bring cash to make the payments for the houses by tomorrow. Thank you Drea.” Dario said before preparing to leave.

Drea immediately stood up, bowing in reverence to Dario, “It was my pleasure, Sir. We’ll be happy to welcome you here anytime.”

Before Dario could step out, Cooper chimed in, “Thank you for coming, young master. Allow me the honor of seeing you off, sir.” He really had to speak with Dario.

Drea was about to object when Dario responded, “No problem.”

Dario and Drea exchanged pleasantries once again before Dario finally left with Cooper.

“You know you didn’t have to see me off,” Dario said when they got outside, “or you have insults left to unleash on me?”

“No, no. I’d never insult you, young master,” Cooper answered nervously, rubbing his sweaty palms on his trouser repeatedly.

‘Of course you wouldn’t.’ Dario mouthed to himself, smiling faintly. “So, why did you offer to see me off?”
