“WHAT? Why me?” Nicole pointed at herself.

“Because I know you’re capable of handling a mere intern like me,” Damian answered, emphasizing every word. “You did your job properly by not letting me enter the operations department earlier. I am not on the list, so you became firm on your decisions. It's commendable.”

Kierra smiled, hearing the compliment Damian gave to Nicole. She didn’t know Damian’s real identity, but since Diana personally gave instructions to assist Damian, she knew Damian was a big shot.

“You hear that? He can see how talented you are despite meeting for the first time,” said Kierra, her smile unwavering. “Guide him, okay? Tell him all the processes inside the operations department. Train him well.”

“But ma’am… I have too much on my plate right now.” Nicole scratched her nape. She looked at Damian, her facial expression became cold again. “He’s only an intern. Why would we need to give him special treatment like this?”
