Chapter 54 - Combing Through

"How'd a man like that become the mayor of the town? He's so creepy, I can't believe the majority of the people here actually chose him to lead the town," Shuddered Lilac in disgust, as the two of us explored an area of the town.

"Yeah, I get what you mean, I can't imagine that any normal human being would vote to elect him. But then, creepy or not, maybe he's actually good at his job," I replied with a wry smile.

"Come on, there's no way that's the case. That much is apparent just looking at the state of the town."

"You have a point there."

About ten minutes had passed since we'd all split up. After going through a map of the town, we split the area we needed to search into four quadrants, with Iris, Rex and Solas each taking one quadrant to search, and Lilac and I taking the remaining one.
