Scott Walton's Involvement

Helena replied before Jones could utter a word.

“I won't… Remember I detest Melvin and I never called you nor him abductors. Are we good?”

“You didn't call us abductors? Whatever, but you don't trust us.” Daniel said.

“Yes… I don't trust you, but I trust your weird friend.” Helena stated.

“Weird friend?” Daniel chuckled and added, “Why not just tell him you like him.”

“You say shit a lot. You know that, right?” She retaliated.

“I might not be as smart as him, but I know love when I see one. You like him, and you're just trying to---” Jones cuts in instantly,

“Danny!!!”

“Hey!! You... I told you to leave. So leave.” Jones added, staring at her furiously.

She just stared at him lustfully and didn't know when he complimented him. “You have a nice voice.”

“I said it.” Daniel blasted.

“No… That's not what I meant. I mean, whatever…" She sighed in exasperation and hurriedly left the warehouse.

Daniel was about bringing up Helena up, but Jones' demeanor were all against that, and so he complied.

Jones slid a chair and sat close to Daniel, enlightening him about the whole plan and what role Alan would be playing again.

“Alan can't do that.” Daniel said, keeping his face in a way that depicts neutral sentiment but was heavy laden with a mild irritation.

“Alan once worked for Melvin before I hired him. He knows so much about his movement and things I don't even know.” Jones admitted.

“So… Who's going to intercept Melvin and his guys? From your plans, we can't be in two places.” Jones giggled when he was done talking.

“Not you. I have a plan for that, and the less you know….” Daniel cuts in instantly,

“Don't tell me that… I need to know.”

“Then watch.” Jones said, as he brought out his cellphone and searched his contact for Young Wiz.

“Young Wiz?” Daniel was waiting for an explanation.

“I said watch. Not questions.” Jones said as the receiver answered via the cellphone,

“Hello Jones. How are you doing?”

“I need you to save someone.” Jones said, ignoring the damn pleasantries.

“Is it a command or a request?” Scott Walton asked.

“It's a command.” Jones said without even smiling.

“Just because you saved me from Melvin's gunshots doesn't make me your servant. I work for the government. Not you, let that sink in.” Scott sounded a little bit harsh with that. He had always been rude to Jones for personal reasons.

“And you were unable to take down Melvin, even until now. It's a shame!” Jones shammed.

“This conversation is over!” He said, and he actually meant it because from the way he sounded, there was nothing Jones could say that would calm him down and Jones never intended to apologize to pacify what he said.

“Are you pained?” Jones said making jest of him.

“Pained? Pained for what. For the fact I refused to be your menial or what?” Scott yelled out. “Goodbye Jones.”

“What if I give you Melvin's location?” Jones asked, he was purposely playing with him. Jones knew Scott didn't like him from the onset of things.

“Huh?” Scott's voice was back to normal. “What's your catch, then. What did you get in return.”

“I'm not that egoistic as you think. Well, you get your Ex- wife in return.” Jones said with a smile extended all over his face.

“Which one?” He asked, sounding confused.

“Now I see why she left you.” Jones sounded mockingly.

“You're a kid who knows nothing about marriage and since you haven't tasted it… And, well… I don't even think you'll ever taste it.” Scott said, trying to retaliate.

Jones was just twenty-six years old, making Scott to be three years older. But that doesn't change the fact, Jones was smarter.

“Quite the charade, please. You promise to rescue Kent. I give you Melvin's location. We have a deal?” Jones proposed.

“I have saved people I don't even know. And Kent was my Ex- wife, that makes it easier.”

“We have a deal?” Jones pressed on.

“No… You don't tell me what to do. What gave you the courage to talk to me like that.” He was already pissing off with Jones' attitude of being the boss in everything.

“I will hang up this call and the very minute I do that, the secrets that can take away your FBI badge will be aired. I promise you that.” The seriousness in Jones' voice only should be convincing of how he sounded.

Scott was quiet for a few seconds. Confusion was his latest endeavor. But he couldn't show Jones how weak he was.

“You done ranting?” Scott said with a confidence betraying the actual fear in him.

“Deceased Assistant Director Eddie Stapleton of the FBI counterterrorism Division. Special agent Ryan Lewis and…" Jones didn't finish before he interrupted.

“Fine…” He yelled with a broken voice.

“I know your secrets. So we have a deal?” Jones seriousness was at its peak.

“Yeah. What's the location.” Scott, with a calm voice, showing exactly the weakness he doesn't love seeing.

“Good. This is what you've to do.” Jones went on to enlighten him about the whole plan before he hung up. Daniel gave Jones an enthusiastic applaud, saying,

“You outsmart him. That was… " He continued cheering him up with clapping.

“That's enough now.”

“The government is corrupt, with secrets they might kill for.” Daniel said waiting for Jones' reply to fuel the conversation. Well, that didn't happen. He went on with another strategy that worked perfectly.

“Who's Kent.” Jones didn't reply, just a long stare. He finally started by saying, “Kent is the same person you know as Holly Minard.” He told Daniel everything he needs to know.

Jones values Daniel's loyalty above his muscular body. There's no regrets about how much Jones had to say to him. He trusted him with almost everything.

“So, what's the next plan.” Daniel demanded to know more.

“Here's the plan…”
