Chapter 7. Martial Spirit Techniques

At the Star Sword Pavilion, there are about 15 new students who will study under the grandmaster named Tang Liu. This teacher is known for his intelligence and his temper towards the students.

He is around 60 years old. Master Tang is married to a woman named Li Hua, who is around 45 years old. They have a daughter named Ling Lian, who is about 16 years old.

Ling Lian studies in the same tower as her parents. In other words, Tang Ling Lian is not only their daughter but also their student. She is currently at the third level of the Martial Master cultivation realm. She is a senior intermediate student at the Heavenly Pavilion Association.

Here are the cultivation levels of the mortal entity realm in the story "Reincarnation of the God Emperor":

Beginner Practitioner, 7 levels

Intermediate Practitioner, 7 levels

Expert Practitioner, 7 levels

Martial Master, 7 levels

Martial King, 7 levels

Martial Emperor, 7 levels

Martial Ancestor, 7 levels

Martial Fairy, 7 levels

In the Heavenly Star Pavilion Association, the highest student is at the third level of the Martial King realm. This student has the surname Yan and the given name Yaoshan. He is a young man, around 20 years old.

Despite his young age, there is no other student in the Heavenly Star Pavilion Association with a realm level comparable to his. In fact, his level is almost equivalent to that of the assistant teachers, who are generally at the fifth level of the Martial King realm.

"Students, before I teach you martial arts techniques and cultivation, I will first inform you about the rules I have set during teaching. First, I do not want any student to be distracted or unfocused while I am teaching. If I find anyone like that, they will be expelled from this Tiger Pavilion and can try to enter another Pavilion."

With a very stern tone meant to intimidate the students, Master Tang explained the rules that must be followed when learning with him.

Besides focusing entirely on the lessons given, students are not allowed to miss classes for any reason. Anyone who violates this rule will be expelled from the Star Sword Pavilion.

The students just bowed their heads, not daring to respond or react to what Master Tang said. They were indeed forbidden to speak while he was talking. The atmosphere was tense during Master Tang's lessons. His tall and large stature made people even more afraid to deal with him.

"Today, you will begin learning the techniques of energy gathering and energy concentration to maximize the capabilities of your martial spirit. One by one, your martial realm will be measured," said Tang Liu in his usual flat tone.

Tang Liu then disappeared after finishing his speech. He returned to the regular world, joining the Heavenly Star Pavilion Association. Meanwhile, the 15 new students remained in the training dimension, supervised by three intermediate senior students.

Soon after, an old man dressed in green and black appeared. He was about fifty years old.

"Students, let me introduce myself. I am Yu Lau, an assistant teacher who will be teaching in this Star Sword Pavilion. You have been gathered in the Star Sword Pavilion because the purity of your souls is generally above the fourth level. This will be very compatible with your sword abilities, and even the power of your sword intent could become the strongest in this Heavenly Star Pavilion," said the teacher in green and black, who introduced himself as Yu Lau.

Yu Lau then proceeded to detect the level of martial spirit they possessed. Yu Lau activated the realm detection array using his summoning seals. A quadrilateral pattern emitted light upwards. Yu Lau then instructed the students to enter the arrays one by one.

Detecting the level of a practitioner's martial spirit is actually quite simple for another practitioner. However, Yu Lau did not want to be deceived by students who had the ability to conceal their martial spirit levels. Yu Lau feared that someone might infiltrate by pretending to be a new student.

After testing all the students, almost all of them were at the fifth level of the Beginner Practitioner realm. Only two were still at the first level of the beginner practitioner realm. The most outstanding was Kwu Sing, who was at the first level of the Intermediate Practitioner realm, nearly matching the average level of senior intermediate students.

"Good, I believe you are qualified enough to become students in the Heavenly Pavilion Association. However, after studying here, you must improve your abilities and quickly advance to the next level," explained Master Yu Lau as he retracted the realm measurement array.

"Yes, Master!" the new students replied in unison.

"Today, we will learn the technique of manifesting your martial spirit. Remember, manifesting your martial spirit is very risky, as you could lose it if you encounter a strong enemy or be tricked into having it stolen," explained Master Yu. "Now we..."

"Master!"

Yu Lau's words were suddenly interrupted. A student raised his hand. He seemed to want to ask a question.

"What is it? Do not interrupt people when they are speaking, especially if it is Master Tang teaching. You will be in trouble!" reminded Master Yu sternly.

Although Master Yu showed displeasure at the student's interruption, he did not display any anger or frustration. He merely reminded them not to make a habit of interrupting others, especially when Master Tang Liu was teaching. The student would surely face reprimands and could even be expelled from the Tiger Pavilion.

"Sorry, Master! I just want to ask a question," responded the student who had interrupted earlier.

"What is your question?" Master Yu frowned.

"If someone loses their martial spirit, will they die?"

"Hmmm, a good question. Essentially, a martial spirit is different from the life spirit within your body. If you lose your martial spirit, you won't necessarily die. However, you will no longer be able to cultivate or use any martial arts techniques. You will be crippled in the martial world, like an ordinary person with no strength at all," answered Master Lin.

All the students nodded as they listened to Master Lin's explanation. Although it was Liau Yen who asked the question, all the students listened intently to Master Yu's explanation, as it was also a question they had in their hearts.

"Alright, let’s continue!"

Master Yu then explained how to use the martial spirit to enhance attacks. He also taught the technique of manifesting the martial spirit as an offensive technique.

Master Yu explained that while this technique is very dangerous, it can increase attack power tenfold. Therefore, if facing an enemy alone, this technique is very effective for defeating opponents who are two to four levels higher.
