CHAPTER 2

Phone Buzzes.

"Yes, before you go. I want you to know Diane is never and would never be your girlfriend. If you're having a trance, or maybe a dream, or even a nightmare, then you gotta wake up. This is for coming with your filthy body and ring to where you aren't invited."

Will said, pouring the Henesse contained in the bottle he was holding on Michael.

"At least, he's now famous. You have to come to see the reactions to this live performance."

Another of his class guys said, making Michael confirm again, that the whole world had seen him embarrassed and bullied.

But it didn't just make sense to him. That Diane, his Diane could do that to him and still watch him maltreated by the same Will he had earlier spoken to her about the quarrel they had at the lecture hall.

Michael left the party. There was nothing he could do and couldn't even return to the hostel. The remaining guys would be waiting for him, and there would be nowhere he would hide himself because of shame. They all have seen it. He was streamed live.

Helplessly, Michael walked down Pucine's Lodge to the outside of the school surrounding. It was 7 p.m already. He thought of being harmed by the bad boys outside, as he never steps out late, but what difference would it even make? Even if they get him, there's nothing to take from him.

An uncompleted building that looked like the owner had forgotten he was building a house sets its gaze on Michael. Snakes, scorpions, or anything can come to him. At least, he'll be useful being a source of livelihood to some freaky creatures. Michael Guterson thought as he headed there to lay his head.

Birds were chirping and Michael wondered if they shouldn't only be found in villages and forests. That's a city for crying out loud, New York City. What the hell are they looking for?

His hands making meaningless drawings with the sand on the ground as Michael lay, his belly to the ground, Michael heard his phone buzzing.

Who could that be? Michael thought. Why would they look for him? They have ensured he had the embarrassment of his life already. Michael thought as he had concluded it would be his classmates already.

The phone kept buzzing and Michael had no option but to switch it off. It was a foreign number disturbing him. They probably changed their numbers so he could pick up. Michael concluded as he had seven missed calls already in less than twenty minutes.

Michael Guterson had peace, as he lay quietly and continued his free hand sketching on the ground. At least, he was finding himself.

Just then, Michael remembered he had the presentation waiting for him at 9 a.m. He had to get up to head back to the hostel.

He had just one goal to achieve; studying and graduating with a first class. What they think of him regarding his social life should have no connection to his primary aim of being in the University. He needed to make Lawrence Yatch proud. He needed to make the Aura proud. Who knows? they might come to pick him up to work at their company maybe as the CMD after his graduation.

It was dark and Michael remembered he needed light. He wouldn't have himself fall in a ditch. Reluctantly, he pulled his phone out of his pocket to make use of the phone's torch light. 12 percent. He needed to get the hostel and charge.

But it was as if the same stranger was waiting for Michael to switch on his phone. It was buzzing again.

"What business do I have with you? Don't you know what the time is?"

Michael yelled, angrily over the phone; wanting to get whoever it was provoked so they would just leave him be.

"Sorry for disturbing you Elegant Young Sir Michael, I wouldn't take up to a second of your time."

Elegant, Young, Sir, all for him? Michael began thinking about who that might be.

"You already have consumed seconds of my time already." Michael Guterson said, attempting to hang up the call already.

"Mama, Mama! Mama G.. Mama G!! Elegant Young Sir Michael..!" The man said, sharply.

What sort of a smart man is that? Michael thought.

Michael Guterson, seeing how pressed the man was on the issue decided to give him a listening ear.

"Mama G, is already on her knees pleading we talk to you to see her, Elegant Young Sir Michael."

Michael was wondering again how the man mumbled three adjectives before getting to his name. How effortlessly, the man had the four words come out of his mouth.

"Mama G, Who is Mama G..?" Michael struggled to ask.

"When you get here, Elegant Young Sir Michael, you'll get to see her and hear from her too." The man said again.

But Michael was already wondering if it was a trick for a kidnap on him. But what would they stand to gain, even if they kidnap him? Michael thought to himself.

" Just give us a 'YES', and have us come to pick you up here. Sorry, I'm Sebastian." The man uttered.

His name didn't matter anyway. Michael thought. He considered telling them no, but curiosity couldn't let him. Mama G. He wants to know who Mama G is.

"So how do you locate me?" Michael said.

"Just a yes, Elegant Young Sir Michael, and you'll have us there."

Is it magic? Michael thought. How would they find him if he didn't tell them where he is? He wasn't even in the hostel to say the boys would tell where he was. He was far from them.

"Yes, if that's all you need." Michael Guterson reluctantly said.

Like magic, a blue Lambor was driving towards him in less than five minutes.

Michael wondered if he had ever seen such a sleek vehicle since his stay in New York City. Is Sebastian that wealthy or is that his Mama G? Michael thought.

He watched to see if it was the people he had been speaking to on the phone. If it would be Sebastian.

The car drove right before Michael. The man was wearing a suit, blue like the Lambor he was driving.

"You must be Elegant Young Sir Michael. Sebastian here Sir."

The man said, alighting from the car and bowing his head in a way to show respect and to greet Michael Guterson.

It was the Sebastian. The one he had been talking to over the phone.

"This way, Elegant Young Sir Michael," Sebastian said again, directing Michael Guterson to enter the sleek Lambor as he gestured with his hand.

But why would they not have the conversation where they were? What do they even have to tell him? Why hasn't he seen Mama G already?

What if he told them he wasn't going anywhere with them? Series of thoughts ran through Michael Guterson's head.

"This way, sir." Sebastian reiterated.

Michael looked, at least, he would have the chance to enter a rich man's car in his life.

He turned as he entered the vehicle. Sebastian directed him to sit by the owner's corner.

Two able-bodied men were sitting already in the car. Like Sebastian, all dressed in a blue-colored suit. But it's looking more expensive than Sebastian's.

"Is there anything you would like us to do for you right now Elegant Young Sir Michael?"
