Chapter 0006

"One million dollars? How could I spend that money in one moment?" Logan looked at his father with a look of disbelief. Spending a million dollars was not easy for Logan because he had never had that much money before. But this time, his father challenged him, making Logan want to think hard.

"Why not? You can spend the money with your friends." Willian approached Logan again and looked at him closely. "You'll have to get used to this soon."

Logan paused to stare at his father, then he turned his eyes to the gold card already in his hand. A few seconds later, his cell phone suddenly vibrated, and this time, there was an incoming message from his friend who had just called him earlier.

Logan quickly looked at the message, and just now, he got word from his friend that the party would be held in two hours at a large bar in the city. Logan honestly never went there. Of course, the bar was famous for its place and costly drinks. In fact, only rich people used to go there.

Willian looked back at Logan with a strange face after getting a message from someone, so he asked, "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"

"I just got word that a party is coming up in two hours at a bar. And I have to go right now." Logan put his cell phone back in his shirt pocket. It wasn't until Logan realized he was still wearing the same shirt he had worn to the job application.

All of Logan's clothes were still in the apartment, so Logan had no other clothes other than the shirt attached to his body. And Logan only had a little time to return to the apartment because he was in a hurry and wanted to be on time for the graduation party.

"You can go in one of the cars you like, or you can go with a bodyguard." Willian made a suggestion, but Logan immediately shook his head.

"No need. I'll go by taxi because that's better." Logan deliberately chose a taxi because he wasn't too uncomfortable going with his father's car and bodyguards. Besides, it would be familiar to his friends, who would naturally ask him many questions later.

"Fine if that's what you want," his father replied, to which Logan nodded. Logan soon left Willian. And he had to walk quite a distance from the Villa courtyard just to find a taxi. He finally found one.

In the taxi, Logan occasionally massaged his head because he felt dizzy from the challenge given by his father.

"How can I spend a million dollars on a party? How is that possible?"

Logan looked back at the gold card still in his hand. "Is all this real? How can everything change in an instant?" Logan was getting so dizzy thinking about it that he chose to keep the card in his wallet.

After an hour, Logan finally arrived at the bar his friend had indicated for the graduation party. Without thinking, Logan stepped into the bar. But when he got inside, Logan didn't find any of his classmates who were coming now.

"Are they working on me?" Logan asked, needing clarification. So Logan decided to call his friend, who had sent Logan a message this morning. But the number was disconnected.

At this time, Logan thought about leaving, but he remembered the challenge his father had given him to spend 1 million dollars. Logan thought for a while. Finally, he looked at the bar, and a bartender was there. Logan approached him and considered ordering something because he wanted his arrival here to be worthwhile.

Logan stood before the bar counter and looked around to see what drinks to buy. "Even I'm confused about what to choose and buy here," Logan muttered, but his eyes still looked at the drinks before him.

Logan couldn't decide quickly, so he finally chose to ask the bartender, who was looking at him coldly, "Tell me, what is the most expensive drink here?"

The bartender-Brian glanced at Logan with a dismissive glance. "Are you serious?" Brian shook his head, thinking that Logan was playing around, so Brian chose to ignore him and set up the small glasses, and left Logan without wanting to serve him.

"How can you ignore a customer like this? It's so rude." Logan was very unhappy with the attitude Brian was showing him.

Brian faced Logan's face after hearing the sentence that slightly nullified his ears with a feeling of dislike. Brian moved his eyeballs to examine Logan's appearance, then said, "This is no place for jokes." Brian tried to remain gentle with Logan, even though he thought Logan was wasting his time.

"What do you mean by joking?" Logan had yet to learn what the bartender meant by that.

Brian glanced back at Logan. But this time, he slightly twitched the corners of his lips and shook his head because he felt Logan did not understand. "I still have a lot of work to do. Can you leave now? I don't have time to listen to your jokes."

"If you came just to ask questions, you'd better leave now. Please don't waste my time answering your silly questions."

In fact, this wasn't the first time Brian had a poor customer like this, just not as haughty as Logan asking about the most expensive drink here.

"You know the way out right? Or do I need to tell the guard to show you?" This time Brian didn't want to mince words. He showed his dislike for Logan right then. Even one of his hands pointed out the direction where Logan should go.

"How can you ask me to leave without serving me?" Logan wanted to be angry with Brian, but soon he remembered the mission of spending 1 million dollars today, so he chose to stay there. "I didn't just come to ask. But I wanted to order something."

The man in front of Logan snorted in annoyance. He pushed the small chair beside him and walked into the room with an annoyed face. He was thinking of calling someone to serve Logan at the moment.

"Hey, you. Come here." Brian called out to one of his colleagues, a woman who had only been working there for two weeks, and she was notoriously shy. Brian deliberately called her because he was too lazy to waste time serving people who were not profitable for him. And Brian thought that she was more suitable to serve Logan.

Her name was Rachel, a woman with long, free-flowing hair who came running. "You called me?" she asked.

"Yes. You see that guy over there?" Brian pointed at Logan, who was now sitting with his eyes wildly gazing at the array of drinks in front of him. And when Rachel nodded, Brian spoke again, "You serve that man." After that, Brian immediately left Rachel before getting an answer.

Brian walked towards his other colleague. "Look at that man. His clothes are so shabby but he dares to come here." Brian sneered at Logan with his other companion.

"What would a man like him come here for?" The man carrying the tray in his right hand, noticing Logan's appearance, was also condescending to Logan.

"He's that stupid guy trying to make a joke by asking about the expensive drinks here." Brian folded his arms and looked at Logan from a little distance.

He then placed the tray on the table and watched the man the bartender pointed at closely. "Isn't he wrong to ask for expensive drinks with that look?"

"I don't think she looked in the mirror before coming here. Look, even his clothes are very shabby. Yet he dares to play pranks here. Even I feel that man is not only ridiculous, but also insane." Brian insulted Logan again

"I think a guy like him comes here just to ask questions. There's no way he can even buy the cheapest drinks here. And it's a waste of time to serve him." Of course, the man gave his opinion, but he also gave Logan a shallow look.

Meanwhile, Rachel approached Logan and asked very politely. "What can I do for you, sir?" The waiter didn't care about Logan's shabby appearance and still served Logan politely.

"Tell me how much is the most expensive drink here?" Logan asked again. Because he thought ordering the most expensive drink here was the best way to spend money.

"The most expensive drink here is worth 10,000 dollars, sir. Do you intend to order it? If so, I will get it for you." Rachel gave a valid answer, though she didn't know if Logan could buy it or if he was just asking. Because, indeed, the customer in front of her at the moment looked like a poor man.

"Alright, I want to order 100 bottles of that drink." Of course, Logan's answer made the girl very surprised. Likewise, Brian, who heard it, was also speechless. The man came in shabby clothes, not only did he ask about expensive drinks, but he ordered 100 bottles of drinks.
