The Phantom Of The Ferry [I]

"What happened next?"

Sure enough, as soon as the fisherman let it slip, some among the listening passengers couldn't bear it anymore and jumped out to ask questions. However, this time it was not the stewardess who asked the question, but a guy who suddenly appeared from behind the fisherman's service desk like a green onion rising from the ground.

"Ah!" The fisherman who likes to tell ghost stories to scare people was finally frightened by this guy who appeared unexpectedly. He turned his head and looked him up and down and asked. "Who are you?"

The new guy who suddenly appeared was wearing a dark brown coat, a blue shirt and black jeans. He was tall, had thick eyebrows and big blue eyes. He was a handsome guy.

Because of his appearance, the stewardess who was originally concentrating on listening to the story was immediately distracted by him, and did not even notice the guy's arrogant look with his hands in his trouser pockets, suggesting that he is actually an idle person.

Sebastian was his name.

Garvin on the side gave him a fierce roll of the eyes which was self-evident. This guy didn't take good care of his luggage, but just abandoned them on the seats. Where did he think he was?

But Sebastian ignored him and just urged the fisherman to finish the story quickly.

Garvin once again had a deeper understanding of the shamelessness of this rich guy - everyone could see that the fisherman absolutely hated this guy who suddenly appeared and stole the beauty's attention, but he could still control himself. With an innocent face, Sebastian continued to pester the fisherman to continue telling the story.

In the end, the fisherman was completely defeated by his shamelessness and had to tell the story angrily. "Just when my buddy was approaching the haunted house and could immediately see the white shadow in the window frame on the second floor, a gust of powerful wind suddenly came from the sea. It brought a sharp, stinging, mist with it. The mist directly blinded him, and the pain made him cry for father and mother on the spot. He just couldn't stop screaming!"

"Did he see clearly what the white shadow was?" Sebastian asked curiously.

Garvin felt very strange. Since this guy was a complete fan of weird things, why didn't he believe that there were really ghosts and othere in this world?

You know, Garvin told him several times before about his experience of encountering ghosts and other spirits in the hospital, but every time he recounted it, he was met with deep suspicion from this guy. Either he thought that Garvin was dreaming, or he suspected that Garvin was under too much work pressure and was having hallucination.

The fisherman added: "He could only vaguely see a woman with disheveled hair. Before he could see what she looked like clearly, his eyes were blurred by the mist blown by the cold wind. At this point, no matter how hard my brother tried, he couldn't hold on any longer. So he covered his eyes and ran away like a headless fly, screeching like a banshee."

"Didn't the female ghost chase him out?"

The fisherman glanced at Sebastian sadly. It was easy to see from his eyes how much he wished it was the stewardess who asked the question and not this person of the same gender as himself.

However, he continued to tell the story very dedicatedly. "When the two people following him saw this, they were even more frightened, and they quickly dragged my buddy and rolled down the cliff."

"Is it over like that?" Sebastian, who thought the story would end here, asked reluctantly.

"Of course not." The fisherman immediately denied his guess and said. "After they got down from the mountain, they sent the guy to the hospital. The doctor took a look at him and said he was fine. He was just confused by the sharp mist, and he simply cleaned it. After a while, he was given some eye drops and sent back, saying that he would be fine after a night's rest. But on the second day, instead of recovering, this guy's eyes suddenly started to bleed. That's when people really became scared."

"What happened next?" Sebastian asked again.

The fisherman shook his head and said: "Later, this guy's eyes were completely damaged. He went to countless big hospitals all over the country, but he couldn't see well afterwards. Later, everyone said he had himself to blame. He was too courageous. When he saw something unholy that night, he didn't avoid it, but ran forward to see what was going on. As a result, he angered the ghost who spread some shady mist, and blinded his eyes."

After listening to the fisherman's story, the stewardess was stunned and said nothing, as if she was frightened by the story.

Sebastian was still unfinished and kept asking, "Sir, do you know where the female ghost in this haunted house came from?"

"I think..." The fisherman was hesitating.

But the stewardess next to him suddenly shouted. "Can you stop talking about it? I think we've had enough for the day."

Seeing this, the fisherman quickly raised his thick palms and comforted her with kind words. "Okay, okay, I won't say it anymore, I won't say it anymore!"

Sebastian first lowered his eyes in disappointment, and then furrowed his two slender eyebrows in deep thought.

Although he had only been Sebastian's tenant and roommate for three months, Garvin, who already had a certain understanding of his way of life, immediately guessed what he was up to.

As expected, after a moment, Sebastian happily went to him and sat down on the chair next to him. The poor blue plastic seat suddenly creaked under the ruthless pressure of his tall body.

"Garvin, did you hear that? It turns out that there is such a fun place on Block Island. It seems that I really came to the right place this time! How about we go and have a look tomorrow?"

"Not in this life." Garvin coldly rejected his proposal.

"Why not?" Sebastian asked strangely.

Garvin felt that his friend's question was very idiotic, so he didn't bother to answer it at all. However, in view of his painful experience in the past - anyone who dared not answer Sebastian's question would definitely collapse under his fragmentary thoughts in the end. So he had no choice but to reluctantly replied: "Didn't you hear? There are unholy spirits there. Aren't you just looking for death going there?"
