Adrian carefully settled in his office, his eyes staring at the file on his desk like it was a lump of wood that he was unable to handle. He had been going through a lot lately and Adrian felt like his powers were slowly fading from exhaustion.

He picks up his phone and decides to place a call on Avery. “Avery, hi,” Adrian's voice spoke as soon as the other caller picked up.

“Adrian!”

“How are you feeling?”

“I am good and I told you to stop worrying about me”

“I can't help it. After what I saw, I have been too scared and want to make sure that everything is fine from your end”

“You have nothing to worry about, I am absolutely fine. Are you at work?”

“Yes I am at the office right now”

“So when are you coming to take the blood samples for whatever it is that you need it?”

“Is that your way of telling me that you miss me and want me to come see you?” He teased as Avery, who had been down all day, could not help but giggle.

“Fine. I am bored, being at home alone, and I was also thinking
