115 - Sparring Partner

Benigno smiles a bit, seeming to understand what’s inside Gambino’s mind at the moment. After all, he was also involved in the chaos that occurred after the death of Moana.

“Of course. She is already like a daughter to me. There’s no way I would let her end her life,” replies Benigno.

Gambino sighs slowly, and takes himself away from the door of Judy’s bedroom. He walks to the living room and stands in front of the windows, observing his own men on the side of the road.

“You are also a family to me. But my men can’t stay here to watch over this place all the time. The neighbors might call the police, and I believe you don’t want the police to meddle with this.”

He then turns to Benigno, and looks at him with a serious face.

“Or perhaps, should I call the police here?”

Benigno immediately shakes his head. But he still looks so worried. Even though he understands that those thugs aren’t supposed to be there forever, he still can’t hide his awry face.
