In a fit of elegance, Dylan tried to break the silence by turning the conversation to plans for next week's golf game. His friendly smile flashed as he asked Rick Langham, "Rick, what about next week's golf plans?"

Rick Langham nodded excitedly, "I can't wait for it, Dylan. It's going to be an interesting match."

After that brief conversation, they slipped into a corner of the room, pretending to be getting dishes. Rita, with a thoughtful look, whispered quickly to Gordon, "Gordon, you're too reckless. Don't ever provoke Jack again, understand?"

Gordon mumbled while rolling his eyes, "Mom, he's just bluffing. He can't possibly know what's really going on."

Dylan, trying to calm the situation, interjected caringly, "Rita, Gordon, calm down. Let's keep our voices low. I’m afraid someone will hear our conversation."
