Chapter Six

Matty took him into a big bedroom and told him that he could sleep there.

She told him to have a shower in the bathroom while she get him some other things that he may need for the night.

He looked around the room and could not believe that he'll be sleeping in such a beautiful place for a whole night.

The wall was painted with a shining bright colors and the flowers that were beautifully drawn on it made him feel unusually comfortable.

He has always been easily attracted my beautiful paintings and drawings.

While growing up with his parents he would always recreate images from different books and magazines and put them up all over the house.

His father was not very skilled at drawing but he'll applaud him each time he saw the drawings.

He stood in the middle of the room after Matty left admiring everything he laid his eyes on.

The height of the bed that stood giantly at a corner made him wonder how one person could sleep on it alone.

He has not seen a mattress so big like that before.

He used to sleep on a small foamlike mattress which his mum had made for him by stucking clothes and sack together into a long clothes she had sew in a round shape.

He has never laid on a real mattress before.

The big shelf-like wardrobe at the left end of the room drew his attention and he walked over to it.

He held and opened the two metal door handles of the shelf and in it were different color of clothes neatly arranged in a row.

He touch them on after another trying to feel the with his hand.

The thick texture of the clothes felt like othe kind of texture on one his mother dress.

It was her favourite dress and she's only wore it once ever since he was child.

He kept it hidden under her old metal box and had once told him that it was a gift she got from his dad long before he was born.

These clothes on the wardrobe were the kind of clothes that the rich kids in his neighborhood wore on daily basis

On the lower part of the shelf were shoes and canvas of different designs.

He picked up one of the shoe which had  rainbow colors on the lace and flipped it around to checked the shoe size behind it, to his amazement it was exactly the size he wears.

He  dropped it down and slowly walked away from the wardrobe.

He saw a door at the corner on the  right end and slowly he walked close to it.

He touched the door gently and it opened slowly.

Maxwell walked in and could not believe that a bathroom could be so big and beautiful.

"This is almost the size of our living room and bedroom without the cutton demarcation" He thought aloud to himself.

The bathroom alone was as big as his entire family house.

He touched the sparkling white bathtub that laid on the floor and his heart almost skipped a beat.

He has never used a bathtub before.  In his home, they take their bath at a small space behind the building carrying a bucket of water and watching items out and back into the house.

He saw a silver shining metal that with a flat bend designed with tiny holes standing few steps away from the bathtub and he immediately recognized to be a shower stand.

He has read about that severally on books.

He took off his clothes and carefully walked over to the shower.

He pressed a button on it and warm water came rushing out from the holes.

He stood motionless under the rushing water for a few seconds allowing it flow from his head down to his whole body.

His heart was beating fast and eyes were tightly closed.

He tried to stop himself from thinking about anything or anyone at that moments but the thoughts kept fighting their way into his mind.

He came out of the bathroom wearing a towel after staying in there for over 30 minutes, the water had helped him relax his mind a bit.

He was surprised to see a neatly folded night dressed carefully placed on the bed and a tray of food on the small table that laid beside the bed.

He quickly put on the dress while his tummy was making some eerie noise at the sight of the food tray.

He had not eaten anything the whole day and he was totally famished.

He laid on his bad to the bed, his face looking upwards on the roof.

The event of the whole day gradually replaying in his head.

From how he was carried away from his home to the time he agreed to take the deal with Wilson and how he met his parents and now.

He couldn't believe how much change a single day could bring.

He thought about the marriage contract that he would be signing the next day and the realization that he'll be getting married to lady who he's never met before struck him.

He knew that keeping up with the deal was going to be a very unpleasant experience to him but the line has already been drawn and there was no going back for him now.

In his head, he tried to to imagine how Wilson's daughter would look like and the kind of relationship they will both have knowing that she had a phobia for men.

Gradually as the thoughts kept playing in his head, he wandered off in deep sleep.
