Cory's gaze shifted from the Sheriff to the voice that had just interrupted. There was a middle-aged man standing behind the sheriff. Cory was shaken to the very depth of his bones. He was heavy from deep inside. He could feel fear creeping from deep inside of him, crawling out to make a patch on his skin.
