Inside the council chamber, Alexander led his followers to the right-side meeting room, where a tense discussion was taking place.

Christopher and his followers occupied the left-side meeting room.

Alexander looked at his followers and asked, “I never ordered the killing of Christopher’s followers. Did any of you do that?”

Ivan spoke first, his voice firm, “None of us did it. I think they’re doing it themselves to tarnish your name and find a way to take the throne.”

“Yeah,” one of the nobles added, nodding in agreement.

“I don’t think it’s a good time to war with Christopher,” another noble interjected. “The Drakonia Federation is waiting for us to show any weakness, and they’ll attack our empire.”

“No worries,” Ivan Romanov added confidently. “Just attack Christopher and finish the civil war in a day. They won’t stand a chance with the god of war on our side.”
