Chapter 11

"That?"

Scott blushed instantly. He didn't expect Gilbert to be so direct, but anyone could speak. Scott wanted to see if Gilbert could continue the conversation. The Kane family lived in Texas City, known as the city's largest supplier of medicinal materials. They had a lot of wealth. They bought a large piece of land and built a luxurious mansion on it.

In front of the mansion, a huge artificial lake sparkled all year.

A car pulled up, and Scott helped Gilbert into the wheelchair. He then pushed Gilbert's wheelchair into the mansion.

Gilbert said abruptly, "The mansion needs mountains behind it to maintain harmony. Surprised, Scott looked at Gilbert, having paid a significant sum to assess the mansion's feng shui. Despite the elaborate methods used by the experts Scott hired, Gilbert could discern the situation with a simple glance.

"Mr. Huxley, do you have knowledge of Feng Shui?"

Scott inquired, unable to contain his astonishment. "Just some experiences," Gilbert replied, waving his hand dismissively.

Gilbert's insight impressed Scott, so he decided not to pursue it further. They soon reached the mansion's backyard. "Is Mr. Kane entertaining guests today?" When Scott heard voices inside, he inquired about a servant.

"Yes, the Gentry is here."

The servant responded respectfully. Scott nodded and pushed Gilbert into the room. In the room, an old man sat in the main seat, with a young man and another old man on the right. The three men were having a harmonious conversation. As he entered, Scott greeted the old man, "Old Mr. Kane."

"You have returned." Old Mr. Kane smiled and waved his hand. "Scott, is this it?"

Gentry Hagan, Scott's brother-in-law, inquired with a frown. "This is Mr. Huxley. I invited him to treat old Mr. Kane," Scott replied coldly, displaying his disdain for Gentry. "What? You've got to be kidding me.

He's a cripple. Are you sure he can treat old Mr. Kane?"

The Gentry arrogantly dismissed Mr. Huxley, saying that he had already invited Dalton Bogus from Hillwoods Province to treat old Mr. Kane. Gentry then respectfully turned to the old man sitting next to him. When Scott heard this, he was surprised to learn that Dalton was a doctor. He had tried to contact Dalton but failed. Unexpectedly, Gentry might invite Dalton.

"Gentry, please don't talk like that," Old Mr. Kane said with a warm smile. "Please take a seat, my dear friend."

Scott nodded and gave her a seat, while Gilbert moved his wheelchair alone and waited silently on the side. Dalton glanced at Gilbert briefly and then looked away, seemingly not paying much attention to him.

"I have examined old Mr. Kane's condition, and I believe the hot and humid conditions inside his body are the cause of his illnesses."

A hot and humid body is more susceptible to sickness," Dalton explained.

Old Mr. Kane worked hard in business when he was young, and we are concerned about his health. As you age, the body's functions decline, making you more susceptible to various illnesses," Dalton continued.

After Dalton shared his diagnosis, Gentry looked impressed.

The Gentry praised, "Mr. Bogus, you are indeed the leading authority in the field of medicine." Scott frowned slightly and then turned to Gilbert, asking, "Mr. Huxley, what do you think?"

"Scott, you don't need to ask him," Gentry added sarcastically.

"Mr. Bogus has made a diagnosis, and he will provide a prescription later," Gentry continued, looking at Gilbert.

Scott was displeased but remained silent, observing Gilbert's reaction.

Gilbert briefly glanced at old Mr. Kaney and then closed the door, avoiding further discussion.

"Well, Mr. Bogus, please inform me about my life expectancy. I understand that everyone will eventually pass away; it's a natural process," old Mr. Kane said with a cheerful laugh, seemingly unconcerned about his illness.

Leave it to me. Knowing Gentry's condition beforehand, Dalton confidently assured him of his excellent health. He then presented the prepared medicine to Mr. Kane with pride. As Dalton handed over the small box, he instructed, "You can take it now."

Old Mr. Kane, curious about the medicine, inquired, "What is it?" Gilbert, who had been silent until then, asked about the purpose of the medicine. Gilbert's question infuriated Dalton, who responded in his head, "How dare this young brat challenge me." Gilbert's comment about the medicine's deadly nature caused Old Mr. Kane to hesitate. Gilbert's remark infuriated Gentry, who demanded an explanation. However, Gilbert remained unfazed by Gentry's outburst and calmly asked, "What do you mean?" Gilbert then questioned why he would wish harm to Old Mr. Kane despite identifying the cause of his illness.

Dalton sneered coldly.

"I am telling the truth," Gilbert said calmly.

"Don't be a quick talker, young man.

"Let me ask you, why would my medicine cause old Mr. Kane to die? You haven't even inquired about the exact situation with old Mr. Kane, nor do you have any control. How can you determine what illness old Mr. Kane is suffering from?" Dalton looked at Gilbert arrogantly.

Dalton, a giant in the medical field, had the right to be proud of himself.

"That's right. Why don't you heal your leg first, cripple? Don't try to deceive us." Gentry was angrier than Dalton and even resorted to insulting Gilbert.

"In the afternoon, he will experience a rise in temperature, similar to afternoon heat syndrome." However, the temperature will gradually decrease before 8 p.m. However, you began to feel pain throughout your entire body around 10 p.m. That pain could be fatal and prevent you from sleeping." Gilbert remained calm and spoke slowly.

Gilbert's words caused old Mr. Kane to look up suddenly.

He gazed at Gilbert and gently placed the medicine in his hand, realizing that Gilbert understood his situation. This was why he sought out various doctors; the pain was unbearable.

"Mr. Huxley, do you have any cures for my condition? Even without a cure, please help me manage the pain.

Mr. Kane asked eagerly.

Gentry and Dalton were surprised by Mr. Kane's reaction to Gilbert. Scott, however, remained composed and replied, "I can try."

Gilbert nodded calmly and said, "Great! Excellent. What should I do, Mr. Huxley?"

Old Mr. Kane even crossed his fingers and asked, "Come and sit in front of me." Gilbert pointed to the bare ground in front of himself and said, "Alright!"

Old Mr. Kane quickly grabbed a chair and sat across from Gilbert. Gentry scoffed and glared at Gilbert, but Gilbert swiftly shifted his wrist. He held a box of silver needles in his palm. Gentry and Scott were unable to see clearly. Gilbert's speed made it clear what he was doing.

"Don't tell me, acupuncture?"

Dalson smiled coldly and took a sip of his coffee, then looked at Gilbert. "I have been studying acupuncture for decades, but it is not simple for me to perform it on patients. Moreover, acupuncture may not cure old Mr. Kane's illness."

"WHAT?"

The next moment, Dalton choked on his coffee, his face turning pale in an instant.

"Oh no, The Nine Skills of Acupuncture!"
