Did I even have enough time to think?

The world narrowed down to just inside this small sealed dome as I strained my eyes through the darkness beyond my flames. Grigori looked downright menacing in the dim lighting; his crouched posture looking far too familiar for my tastes as I forced myself to keep calm and think things through.

He was allowing me the time to think from the looks of it. While he was at a ready stance right now, I was still on the other side of the battlefield despite the fact that I just declared that we were going to fight either way. Then again, wasn't that the exact same thing he did when we first faced each other? He was a Prime, after all; far from poor old, me's weight class by at least three levels. He's underestimating me again; probably thinking that I'm still at a level that he could easily run circles around with.
