XCIII.II Parity
The stillness of my room made for an adequate backdrop as I began to get my bearings back in order. Beyond my aching head and the nagging feeling of guilt and emptiness, I felt relatively decent. Not unlike myself back in the old world. Still, the sense of unease and the tension that surrounded the room was suffocating. And that's with only myself occupying the damn place.

"Huh..."

I sighed, placing a hand on my throat as I massaged it. Talking was painful, and I'm pretty sure that I'll be doing a lot of talking as soon as Livia comes back with my protege. Whatever Lace did to me was solid. Probably better than I'll ever do if she was put in the same situation. Oh... There's that guilt again.

*knock knock*
