XCVIII.I Sigma
The act of thinking for oneself was something that was utterly ingrained into the human psyche. Based on what I've seen from both myself and from others, everything that a person does solely benefits them in one way shape or form. Even those that were called selfless were selfish in a way that they wanted recognition or self-validation in their acts. After all, they did say that the satisfaction of a good deed was more than enough for them. I didn't blame them, of course, but in a sense, it was a bleak way of looking at people. I mean, if everyone was inherently a selfish person, then why bother helping others?

"It's chaos out there!"

"They're at the Eastern gate of the city already. Should we even hold that position or should we just let them in?"
