Seeing who emerged, everyone was shocked to the bones. August reed in the flesh? And shockingly he was walking on two feet? Wasn't he supposed to be on his chair forever and should be at home helping out with the dishes? These were Ms. Winston and Mark's thoughts as they stared at him.

Meanwhile, August walked towards his wife who was standing close to the table. The cold aura varnished as soon as he set his eyes on her. There was nothing but emotions stirring inside him and now that he could finally walk again, of course, he would stand by her side and make sure she was never bullied.

“August?” Caroline muttered in shock. Not long ago, she left him at home, still seated on the will chair so what in the world was going on?

Hearing her say his name, his heart fluttered, but right after, he grabbed the documents on the table. Without going through it, he clasped the edge and tore it into pieces. Then he threw it off on the floor.

This immediately made both Mark and Ms Winston fume in anger.  Before she could say anything, Mark roared.

“Hey cripple, what do you think you are doing? How dare you tear that document? Don’t you know it has more value than your life? Or do you want me to put you in your place first?” Mark snorted in anger feeling like he was about to explode.

Not long ago, he was about to have his men force Caroline into signing off the document, yet this bastard had torn it off. While he was fuming, August merely looked at him with a hostile gaze, causing the latter to shudder in fear before looking at Ms Winston.

“If my wife doesn’t have any other business here, we will take our leave. Mind you, she’s resuming the company tomorrow and also taking back her position. If you want to stop her, you must go through me first!” August roared with a deadly glint in his eyes before walking toward Caroline. “Let’s go, wife.” He grabbed her hand gently, and they started walking towards the exits.

For some reason, she didn’t fight him off or say anything. Why was he suddenly like the hero she had always wanted in a husband? Never had he spoken up for her, yet today he was. She hadn’t even recovered from the shock of him walking, yet he had to add another by standing by her and retorting at her grandmother for her rash decision.

Just then, she saw the image of that military man who saved her years ago as she looked at him from the side. This made her start wondering if he was the one but on second thought she knew it didn’t make sense. There was no way August here would be from the military. Before marrying him, she heard he came from a poor background, so there was no way he could be the man she imagined.

But regardless, the person she was seeing here was just as much of what she wanted. As she was thinking about this, a tear subconsciously rolled down her cheek, but then a voice roared from behind.

“August! How dare you? You are just a low life who we picked from the street and happened to be lucky to marry my granddaughter. Don’t feel too high of yourself now that you can walk. I’m not the kind of person you can mess with!” Ms Winston recovered from her shock and yelled furiously.

“You have long lost your respect in my face since the day you became impartial to my wife. Besides, the company is hers, so why are you yelling and putting up a front? Aurora Corporation belongs to my wife and since she says she isn’t handing it over, I don’t think even you can change that. Now, if you’ll excuse me!”  August replied coldly without having regard if she was the head of the family or if she was his wife’s grandmother.

If she had considered all this from the start, she wouldn't have been so heartless with her decision. August knew to what extent his wife had suffered to get that company to the spot it was today. He had been there all through, and he wouldn't let her effort go down the drain.

With their mouth hung open, Mark and Ms Wilson watched them leave, too shocked to even say anything. August's words were so striking and the fact that he used to be calm before but suddenly changed was something they were finding it difficult to believe.

Bang!

Angrily, Mark punched the table in his front. Anger seeped into his face as he roared. “That bastard. He thinks he is a tough nut just because he can walk now?”

He then remembered the guards that were inside the room, and his chest burned even more. Looking up at them, he snorted. “You bastards! Were you not suppose to do something? At Least beat him up or break his legs again? Instead, you stood there watching? Aren’t you a bunch of useless people?”

Just now, the kind of aura August was exuding was so powerful that not only the guards but even Mark himself couldn’t put on any funny moves. But then, he wanted someone to vent his anger on. Besides, these guards were supposed to be experts right? How dare they do nothing but watch him leave?

As Mark roared, both guards bowed their heads, not knowing what to say or if they were supposed to say something. Seeing this, Mark wanted to go all out again, but Ms Winston stopped him.

“That’s alright.” She waved him off and only then did he keep quiet. “Call Caroline's parents over here! August must divorce Caroline and leave the family at once. Since he feels too smug now, I guess it’s time to get rid of him.”
