Chapter eight

The Mighty men had a club house close to Fox River’s Park. Their gathering is always held in their clubhouse; exclusive to their members.

Their club or brotherhood were known throughout the country and no one seems to be interested in it. More like they were scared to dare talk about it as anyone who had anything terrible to say about them were mysteriously killed.

They started with just twenty members but were now over a hundred and filthy members, due to the wealthy men who needed protection and more power.

The society was led by just 7 leaders. ‘The Mighty Men’ Themselves.

Currently, they had their usual gathering but this time, they seemed to be having a little celebration with less members. They were about 40 in numbers. Their tables were filled with wine and different dishes as some danced to the music in the background.

Half of the men had their pipe in their mouths, smoking, and discussing within themselves while the leader, Lord Theodore, who sat at the edge of the table gave them a few instructions.

The place was dark, and the little lights at the wall did little to nothing in showing their faces.

“Before I had his head, he cried like a hungry fool!”

Hahaha! The men laughed heartily.

“My wife and I were already sweating pretty hard when my phone started ringing.

Hahaha… I was on cloud nine…”

All the men rolled with laughter.

“What excuse did you give her before getting off of her and coming down here?” A member asked.

“Shhh… enough! All of you!” Lord Theodore laughed as he tried to hush them. He was a bald man in his late forties, and also one of the leaders…. He was the only one present today.

Lord Theodore passed a file to each of them before saying, “Those are the names of the people who owe this club millions of dollars.” He announced with a stern look, “They are not just in debt, they made an alliance with the enemy.”

“I would personally deal with Mr. Henry and his family…. He used our influence to escape going to jail, and when it was successful, he abandoned us and didn't stick to our deal.”

“Yes! Agreed? We are taking his family down tonight!” Lord Theodore announced.

The men all nodded in agreement, “Yes!”

“Agreed!!!” They said In unison.

Just then, about four securities opened the door and walked up to Lord Theodore before whispering into his ears.

“I didn't order anything. And my package already arrived last night. It's not for me.” Lord Theodore frowned.

“Perhaps it's from one of our debtors! They don't wanna die! Hahaha!” A member said and they all burst out laughing.

“We aren't going back on our decision. Their names are already on our black book.” Lord Theodore remarked.

“Open it.” He ordered as he glared at the big black box on the guard’s hand.

The guard nodded, dropped the box, before gently unwrapping it. The guard didn't say who it was from but he knew it was meant for the leader.

“What the fuck!” Lord Theodore screamed as he stepped further away from the box as the guard opened it.

The men stood from their seats to check what horrific thing it was that terrified one of their leaders.

Woah!

“What in fuck sake is this?”

“No fucking way!”

They exclaimed at the sight of what was in the box, and the smell was deadly.

It was a horse's head and a Human's palm, covered in blood. It was an horrific sight to behold.

“Which bastard sent this?!” Lord Theodore roared breathlessly. They used horses in carrying out most of their activities. Chopping off a Human's head was ten times better than a horse's! It was an abomination in the brotherhood. A horse head represents a deadly war, death, and the most dangerous thing.

This could only mean one thing; the person who sent this wanted them dead or was about to start a war with them.

“It was left outside with a note to give to the leaders. We have no idea, Lord Theodore.” The guard cried.

Lord Theodore's eyes darkened, “This can't bring itself here! I command you to tell me who brought this abomination here! Start spilling or I just might chop your head up just like this horse!” He threatened.

“Don't tell me you don't like my little gift of appreciation. If you want, I could behead three more from your stable…” A voice was heard behind them.

They all stopped and turned to face the entrance.

Miller walked in their direction, dressed in an all black outfit and a gold mask covering his face.

The men were left in puzzlement and disbelief as the young man who they couldn't see face walked up to their table and had his seat.

“What the hell?” One of them muttered in disbelief as the man sat on the leader's seat. Lord Theodore's seat!

Miller leaned on his seat, before placing his legs on the table, like a King. He snaps his finger then the guard from earlier ran over to him.

“This is outrageous!”

They had a stunned expression as the guard gently grabbed a fork and placed the beef meant for Lord Theodore into Miller's mouth.

And with a smug smile, Miller chewed it, his eyes never leaving the men who stood before him.

“Who the fuck are you?!” One of them thundered.

“Are you lost? Do you know whose seat you're sitting on?!”

“Do you have any idea who we are?!”

“Do I look like I care?” Miller smiled.

“Get out of here before we lose it!” Lord Theodore barked.

“I'd love to see you try to make me leave…” Miller opened his mouth for more beef. Chewing them, he asked, “Hope this isn't human meat…. And why isn't it spicy enough? Oh, I forgot, you weren’t expecting me.” He smirked.

Lord Theodore and the rest all turned to each other with the most shocking expression. Someone must have sold audacity to this fellow.

“Wait… who are you?” One of them asked, sensing how relaxed Miller was sitting in their leader's seat.

“Me?” Miller drank the wine directly from the bottle still he was done. He threw the empty glass at them but they were quick to dodge it.

He leaned into his seat once moved, feeling relaxed before saying, “I am a lot of things… but to monsters like you? I am your worst nightmare.”

Lord Theodore laughed out loud before stepping forward. He was convinced that Miller is a lunatic who escaped the asylum.

“I can tell you have no idea who we are. So, I won't repeat myself…”

“Shut up, old man… Aren't y'all The Mighty Men?” Miller cut him short. “Haha! In all honesty? I really can't see what the word, ‘Mighty’ is doing in your title…” Miller mocked.

All the men rolled with laughter.

“I'm convinced you bought audacity on your way here. It's you against forty men, don't you think you're overstepping your boundaries?!” Lord Theodore remarked.

“So what?” Miller asked, “Y'all are mistaken if you think you can kill for fun and go court free.”

“Oh, you were affected?! Haha!”

“I see why he's here! Haha!”

“This isn't the first time, they came but never made it out alive! Hahaha!”

The men laughed. Miller was obviously here to take revenge on what they probably did to his family. He wasn't the first man to attempt this. Too bad he wouldn't live to tell the story.

“You will meet your family soon.” Lord Theodore smirked. “You should have made your findings before coming. No one can defeat us, many tried and died while trying.”

“That's sad…But I guess things will be different today, since it's going to be the other way round.” Miller shrugged.

Suddenly, a loud murmur could be heard amongst the men.

Lord Theodore, who had a suspicious look, goes close to Miller. “What's the name of your family?” They've killed thousands, he's lost count.

“It's for your ears only. Come, I'd whisper it into your ear.” Miller said to him and Lord Theodore didn't hesitate to go over to Miller.

At the moment he got closer, Miller placed his teeth on right his ear. And will all his might, he bit and pull Lord Theodore’s ear out while Lord Theodore screamed for help.

Without warning; Miller threw the ear from his mouth, and it landed on a member’s face.
