Chapter seven

Dustin did not dare move close to the scene. Not after what he and his men witnessed at the restaurant. This man right before them was a monster. They valued their lives, so they lowered their heads, terrified at the pains he was inflicting on the young master.

James was on the floor, growling and spitting blood from his mouth when Dustin walked up to Miller and bowed before him.

To everyone including James' surprise, Dustin clasped his hands, his head lowered to the ground, “Sincerely, I know I'm stupid, and I apologize…. Not for the young master… but for myself….”

James’ jaw dropped immediately as tears of pain rolled down the corner of his eyes. He almost passed out, and his men were bowing before the enemy? Talk about irony.

“Put the young master in the car and take him back to his father…” Dustin ordered the rest of his men and they did accordingly.

“Put me down! What the fuck are you doing, Dustin! What the hell did you smoke?! I said deal with that father of a ‘Mistake'!” James cried out as he was being taken into the car.

“What the hell just happened?” Eleanor muttered in shock.

The Grants were pleased that today was going to be Miller's end, but unfortunately…. They thought wrong. Who could have thought that the young master would be defeated by a mere man like Miller?

“Have you met that Dustin guy before? He seems to be scared of you.” Megan asked. She almost thought she had heard his voice before, even if she couldn't see his face due to the cap and the fact that he was distant.

“I don't know him.” Miller shrugged. “Where is my daughter?” He asked as Dustin and the rest drove out of the premises.

“You can come take her along with you, so you could divorce and set my daughter free!” Eleanor still had that thought in mind now that he brought it up. “Get lost, you rapist!”

“Mother! I wouldn't accept you calling my husband names. It was voluntary… he didn't rape me…. I was drunk, so was he…. So stop already!” Megan remarked, “And about the divorce? I'm never signing one. He's my husband and it will remain that way till we die….”

“Not while I'm alive!” Levi cut her short, “It's evidence that he couldn't keep his third leg in one place and Aliyah was the outcome his good-for-nothing sperm! You're the second daughter of the Grant clan, you can't afford to stay married to a mere driver! He can’t afford to take proper care of you! The Rowlands can!”

“Miller! Talk to her, tell her to sign the Damn papers!” Christina shouted.

Miller shook his head, “I said this earlier, granny…. I can't leave my wife until she says that to me….But you all don't have to worry… I'm here now… money will be the least of our worries.”

“You're just a soldier! You talk as if you're the general in command! Stop talking rubbish!”

“Dad enough! It still doesn't change the fact that he's Aliyah's father and your son-in-law… don't insult him.”

“He isn't my son-in-law! I don't consider him as one…. At least not until he compensates this family with 15 million dollars for the humiliation he caused us!” Levi roared.

“Sir… someone's here to see you.” A maid said to Miller.

“Who?” He asked, surprised.

“She didn't say…” The maid bowed and walked away.

“A she? That's a lady? If you're having an affair, why not let my daughter be?!”

Miller heard Eleanor's voice as he stepped out, approaching the car close to the gate.

It was a black Rolls-Royce without a plate number.

He kept his eyes on the car until he stopped at the driver's area, then the person stepped out.

“Good evening, General.” Nora bowed her head in respect.

Miller furrowed his brows, “Nora? Jeez, what are you doing in my in-laws house? I thought I told you never to come here?”

Nora swallowed hard in fear. Her boss looked pissed. Was this the wrong timing?

The house door opened then Megan stepped out, approaching the car where Miller was.

“Damn! My wife is here…” Miller immediately dropped the bossy look, “You're my boss, got that?”

Nora shook her head in horror, “General?” She asked in shock.

“Mess this up, you're gone.” Miller quickly put up a smile as Megan stood in front of them.

“Who's this?” Megan asked, her eyes darting from the fair lady who seemed to be uneasy then to Miller.

“This is my boss, Rebecca.”

Nora wipes her sweat and turns to Miller with a confused expression but Miller positioned her head with an awkward smile, winking at her to do the needful.

“Good day, Mr. Miller's wife...” Nora shut her eyes in shame at the moment she said that but she couldn't take it back, so she continued, stretching her hand out for a shake, “My name is Rebecca and I'm Mr. Miller's boss.” Nora heaved a deep breath, her heart pounding loudly.

She wasn't comfortable referring to the Almighty General by his name, and she desperately wanted to stop the act.

“I'm Megan… it's nice to meet you.” Megan shook hands with her. “Since you're here, mind coming in for dinner?”

Nora immediately shook her head, “Not at all, ma'am…. You see, I have a job for your husband.”

“Oh, what kind of job, if I may ask?”

Nora parted her lips, turning to her boss for help as this was getting beyond her power.

Miller noticed and said, “It's chemical, honey… Why don't you wait inside for me? I'll join you in a few minutes.”

Megan nodded and turned to leave, “See you some other time, Rebecca.” Then she left.

Miller and Nora got into the car, shut the door.

“My wife has no clue about my position or my identity. And I'd love to keep it that way for now.” Miller explained.

Nora nodded, “Sure thing sir… your wish is my command.”

“So, why are you here all of a sudden?”

Nora brought out her laptop, typed a few stuff before handing it to Miller.

After glaring at the pictures and write ups under them, Miller turns to Nora, “What are these? Who are these men?”

“General, these are the people behind your family's massacre. The one you instructed me to carry out.

Then Miller started recalling the events of that night. Though it was late, he could still remember how he tried to save his missing twin brother, by cutting their leader’s palm with an axe. Their faces were hard to see through the darkness.

Which was why he didn't seem to recognize these people Nora was showing him.

“This is everything I could get from myself and my team’s research. Though it was hard to get due to how confidential it is, my team was able to get it.” Nora reached for the laptop before typing and bringing out a picture of about 67 male individuals.

“That's a lot… who are they?”

“The Mighty men.” Nora revealed. “It's the name of their brotherhood or club. And though they are 67 in number, they are ruled by just 7 leaders.”

Miller positioned the laptop, zooming into the picture then he saw the difference between the leaders and the sixty other men. The outfits were incredibly different.

“They all belong to one club. Their pictures don't do justice to their appearance. Killing seems to be their hobby and what keeps them united. They aren't just dangerous, they are notorious and known for the killing of a thousand people, including your parents.”

Miller's grip on the laptop tightened. He gritted his teeth in anger as he slowly recalled how brutal they stabbed his father's neck and drank this blood like wine.

Till this day, he was traumatized by that night.

Nora kept mute and lowered her head. These were the people that brought sadness into her boss’ life.

“What are their names…. Their address… where can I find them.” Miller asked, his voice sharp.

“I'm afraid I don't know sir… my team and I were only able to uncover four of their leaders…. The 3 other leaders and the rest of them had their identities hidden.”

Miller runs his hands through his hair. He hates half-baked information!

“I have gotten your men ready. You just have to say the word and the four leaders are dead.”

Miller shook his head, “That's not what I want. It's my fight. It's my family they ended, it's best I be a threat to their existence.”
