Inside Nathan's bedroom at the beach house, tensions escalated as Nathan defiantly packed his belongings amidst the disapproval of his parents.

"Is this how spoiled children who can't get what they want behave: they run away from home! Nate, how old are you?" Vicente's voice boomed with anger.

"I'll be twenty-five, that's why I need to get out of here! I'm a grown man. I had my own house, which now belongs to the ridiculous Borges family," Nathan replied sarcastically, his movements brisk as he stuffed items into suitcases without care.

"Don't say that. The house looks beautiful and elegant, nothing like that modern glass monstrosity where you used to live," Andreia interjected, remembering that horrible house.

"Mom, don't change the subject! I can't stand having to answer to you guys anymore!" Nathan snapped with bitterness.

Vicente attempted to calm the situation. "You're so desperate that you can't even pack properly. Calm down, take a deep breath!"

Karl provokes him, like a cat playing with a mouse before eating it, "You ordered my death, and if I hadn't escaped from my captivity, you would have continued to live peacefully, with no one ever suspecting. My wife was suspicious, but no one believed her."Vicente tries to gather the courage to stand up to him. "Did you guys talk about this?"Karl widens the smile. "Don't worry. I didn't tell them it was you. However, they were about to board the private jet for a well-deserved vacation, so I didn't want to ruin their mood by going into the gruesome details."

I'm not a natural-born killer! When I found out you survived, did I try to kill you again?""No," Karl replied, still not emotionally engaged with the other's speech."Well, that means I'm not so cruel!" Vicente smiles like a used car salesman. "I had compassion. I arranged for you to be held captive. I offered you several chances to disappear from the city, from Brazil, but you refused. You always rejected my proposals.""You must be joking if you think I should have listened to you back then!" He decided to be bolder this time. “Okay, I’m not going to be prejudiced. We know times have changed, and—” “Prejudiced about what, son?” Edmund asked, already tasting bitterness on his tongue. “Huh...” Bryce held back a laugh. “I thought you two actually...” Bryce gestured ‘wedding ring on finger,’ causing disgust in Edmund and Karl. “NO!” Karl clutched his stomach, feeling nauseous. “We are not a couple!” “Well, come on: tell me what’s going on!” Bryce suddenly became serious. “Bryce, when you stop trying to eavesdrop on our conversations from behind the door, you’ll be happier and stop feeling like you’re in a spy movie.” Edmund tried to deflect, pushing his son out of the office. “This won’t stay like this. I’m going to find out what’s going on, even if it costs me my life!” Bryce grew tired of the games and decided to leave, slamm

We’re going to prepare a little surprise.” Edmund didn’t want to be left in the dark. “Oh, from that mischievous smile of yours, you’re going to pull off some sabotage and humiliate the arrogant musician live, aren’t you?” “Well, if you’re already guessing the plan, I don’t need to fill you in on the details...” Karl teased. Bryce appeared in the doorway of Edmund’s office. But upon seeing once again the close camaraderie between Edmund and Karl, he became intrigued and s

After his nap, Vicente left the house and headed to the Sterling Cultural Hall. Smiling excessively, he presented himself at Edmund’s office, extending a printed sheet in Arial font. But I wanted to use this sheet as toilet paper.” Edmund carelessly left the paper on the desk. Vicente chuckled. “Heh, heh... come on, have a sense of humor, Edmund! You’re doing the right thing by allowing my concert!” “You know I could call Matt right now and let him know, right?” Edmund raised his voice. “But you won’t do that,” Vicente shook his index finger. “You won’t add another burden on Matt’s shoulders. He just came out of a press conference and has to deal with a crazy, hysterical wife. I can only imagine how much she’ll demand for divorce alimony...” “Why don’t you ask that a

He leaned in and sniffed the aroma of fresh beans with garlic, salt, and strips of bacon. “Hmm... this is going to be delicious.” “Try it to see if it’s salty enough,” Andreia instructed him.
