Cindy's expression turned from shock to horror as she confronted Nathan standing in her foyer, suitcases in hand, his intentions clear.

"What do you think you're doing?" she demanded, her voice trembling with disbelief.

Nathan, visibly impatient, shot back, "It's incredible. Why can't people see things with their eyes? Why don't you deduce from my suitcases?"

Cindy's fury rose. "I see your damn suitcases! The question is: why do you think you can stay HERE? Why?"

"I didn't expect Jackson the Naked Guy to be here," Nathan retorted, his tone cutting with sarcasm.

Jackson, offended by the insult, interjected sharply, "Hey, man, you work at a gossip magazine and you don't know that I'm dating Cindy? And why did you need to move in here without my knowledge?"

Cindy realizes where Nathan is going with this. Darn it!

What terrible timing!

She urged Jackson to leave. "Jackson, don't worry. I'll take care of this. You better leave."

"I'm not leaving. I'll stay here. Your Dad is in his studio,

I'm not a natural-born killer! When I found out you survived, did I try to kill you again?""No," Karl replied, still not emotionally engaged with the other's speech."Well, that means I'm not so cruel!" Vicente smiles like a used car salesman. "I had compassion. I arranged for you to be held captive. I offered you several chances to disappear from the city, from Brazil, but you refused. You always rejected my proposals.""You must be joking if you think I should have listened to you back then!" Karl growls."OK, just listen to me this time: you have been following me and have seen for yourself that I no longer pose a

This is his office, not yours!”“You’re hanging by a thread from being sued for breach of confidential information,” Nathan shot back venomously. “And you guys still act like a cocky little rooster and hen!”Linda let out a mocking laugh. “Is that what you came here to talk about?”“Exactly!” Nathan said, jabbing a finger in the air. “Why the hell did you get involved in something that’s none of your business?”Walter was about to speak, but Linda grabbed the sleeve of his shirt — a silent signal for him to let her handle it.“Na

Across town at the Borges House, the midday sun streamed into the dining room where Patricia was seated with Cindy and Jackson. She placed her wine glass on the table and leaned forward, eyes bright with anticipation.“Guys, I have a proposal.”“Sounds exciting!” Jackson replied.“Ron and I are thinking of taking a trip. Something to help us decompress after all the stress and drama we’ve dealt with.”Cindy nodded, understanding. “Makes sense. Silva Oil won’t be facing charges, you and Liz Silva made peace, and Liz cut ties with Elaine.”Patricia raised her glass in a one-woman toast. “Amen to that. So, Ron and I want to celebrate — but we don’t want to go alone. For obvious reasons.”Cindy and Jackson exchanged a knowing glance.Jackson, ever the older brother, spoke up. “Sis, under normal circumstances, I’d tell you to wait until after the wedding. But since you’ve already... had your first time, would it really be that terrible to be alone with Ron on a romantic trip?”Patricia’s s

  • Chapter 950 Facing Nathan – AGAIN!

Nathan returned from his parents' apartment to the beach house, under the midday sun, with a triumphant smile that practically screamed "mission accomplished." As he stepped inside, his voice took on a villainous tone, relishing his recent success.“My father’s letter made quite the impression on the sergeant,” he murmured to himself. “Now it’s just a matter of time before he digs into the case and realizes Lawrence Vieira doesn’t exist... nothing but a fabrication by Karl Sterling.”Making his way into the kitchen, Nathan opened the refrigerator, rummaging through leftovers and pulling out a few pans. He set them on the stove, beginning to reheat his lunch while continuing his monologue with the flair of someone who thought ten moves ahead.“And even if they dig into the past or someone brings up the car crash, no one can prove anything. It'll be the word of a man who used a fake identity... versus a famous pianist whose life was nearly cut short.”The soft hiss of reheating food fil

Around midday, inside the police station, Sergeant Carvalho leaned forward in his chair, intrigued by the theory Matthew had just put forth about the incident at Vicente’s live concert. The near-tragic “accident” that had almost claimed a life now seemed more calculated than coincidental.“I hadn’t thought about it like that,” Carvalho admitted. “I mean, I knew you and Mr. Hudson saw the two workers, but... a test?”“Exactly!” Matthew said, visibly energized. “It can’t be coincidence that the accident played out the same way as the earlier incident. And there’s more — I clearly remember commenting to Bryce about the piano’s position.”Carvalho began clicking and typing quickly on his computer, searching through digital statements.“Young Mr. Hudson didn’t mention that,” he muttered. “Looks like I’ll have to pay him another visit.”Matthew didn’t hesitate. “Have you or any of your officers found anything on ‘José Ramos’ or ‘Seb Nozes’?”With a serious expression, Carvalho shook his hea

At least Matt is putting his resentment on hold to focus on what matters.”Sheila rolled her eyes and took another sip. “I want to see you two hug like father and son.”“That’ll have to wait,” Karl replied. “Sgt.
