Steve frowned at the words that came out of Terry's mouth. He was surprised that Terry was questioning him about his answers, which was something Terry rarely did to him.

However, Steve felt uncomfortable with the tone of voice the man was using. Why did Terry seem to blame him? Was it wrong for him to want to gain knowledge that would make him better than he was before? What was really going on? Was there something he didn't know about X?

Steve's focus shifted to Ben's cell phone, which had fallen to the floor, close to his feet. "Ben, your cell phone fell."

Steve bent down to pick up Ben's cell phone. Steve could see that the screen was cracked, with lines running vertically across it. Once it was in his hands, he gave the phone to its owner.

"Here," Steve handed the phone to Ben, who was still staring at it blankly. "Be careful next time. Look, the screen is cracked."
