Chapter Hundred And Eight

Aidan’s POV

Aidan walks right past them and into the house, pretending he didn't hear, with an aching in his heart.

“I uh… wished your mother lived a happy life, but she didn't and me being here, I'm not happy, I have to leave, and I don't know what better time to say it.” Erica sniffled and drew in a short as Aidan slowed his steps down to catch a breeze.

He saw Erica turn to get an eyeful of him. They both locked eyes and after what felt like forever, she left the two of them. Aidan shook his head after, he knew why she was leaving but that was low of her to bring it up at this point when Eileen just learned about the life her mother lived and how evil and heartless her birth father was. Erica always finds a way to squeeze herself in.

“You know she's right”

“What?” He squinted his lids and narrowed his eyes after what Eileen said broke his thoughts. But he didn't quite catch it, hence he asked again.

“She has to leave.”
