Surprising truth

"Eden, what was that about ?" Elaina kept on chanting, as they started walking back home, with their goods in their hands. The little drama that happened in the exclusive boutique and how Eden managed to take care of it with just a phone call, was really on her mind, and she couldn't just brush it off.

"It's nothing much, El. I already told you. Let's just be happy and start getting ready for the inauguration, or you aren't interested in going again?" Eden asked, throwing a quick glance at her. He could see that she still didn't seem convinced, but he had said everything that he had to say about it. There was nothing more to say.

Elaina let out a little sigh, and turned her head to stare at Eden, while they walked home. "Yes, I know. I'm just a bit...confused, that's all!"

"We could return the items, if you're not feeling good about it," Eden said, trying so hard to hold a laugh in. He knew that after hearing that, Elaina would stop asking questions about the incident.
