Chapter Twelve

Lisa's mother had died a while ago. Peter came across it over the news when it happened, but hadn't discussed it with her yet.

He was so concerned to see her cry like that after mentioning her mother.

"My mother was the best woman in the world." She said. "While dad was busy with work and all, she would stay home with my and my brother. We were little at that time. " She told him.

"She would do all the sweet things and try to make sure we were okay. She always brought us here. This was her favourite restaurant." She said. The next couple of words followed slow laughter. "She said they always got their apple pies and natural soda right."

"When we got home, she would try to replicate the pie with their pies, but she could never." She added.

"Her pies were great, no doubt, but there was something about this place pie. Their pie was just unique. I even tried to do mine, but it never beat it." She said.
