45. Dreaming in Sleep

Brian was full after tasting the two cupcakes that Alessia made. The rain continued to fall on the city, making the air colder as the night wore on. Fatigue made Brian close his eyes. He had no intention of sleeping in the living room, but his eyes were difficult to open, and his body seemed to have no strength.

"You have to move to your room," Alessia's voice even sounded faintly in Brian's ears, who was already half asleep.

"I'm sleepy," answered Brian in a muffled voice.

There was a small laugh from the girl which made it difficult for Brian to open his heavy eyelids. Alessia was still in her usual chair watching him.

Brian sighed.

“I'll sleep here for a while. Don't wake me," Brian said again in a low voice.

"Okay. Get some rest," said Alessia, whose voice Brian could still hear.

Brian nodded his head in response then after that everything went dark, his eyelids could no longer open, and Brian fell asleep comfortably on the sofa. The sound of rain and the roar of thunder and light
